---------Hanako was glad to see Carmindy relax as well. She hated seeing other people all worried on account of something she said. She lowered her eyebrows at the mention of a name she did not know. It sounded familiar and she wondered if it was some American celebrity or maybe an inmate she didn't know. Maybe a fiction character? "Sherlock Ho-holums?" She asked curiously, tilting her head in curiosity. "Who is that?"

A fond smile crossed her face at the question. Sherlock Holmes had been one of her favorite things to read back home. She knew the characters and plot lines intimately, like the back of her hand. "Sherlock Holmes, yes - he's a fictional character from an old set of short stories. They're mysteries. In them, Sherlock is always solving them using his unusual deduction skills. He may solve it purely on a hunch based on the smell of someone's coat, or the pocket watch he wears on his chain - it's all quite fascinating," her eyes shone with the memory of the various stories she'd read, "Anything's fair game, and it's all so ordered and logical - it makes perfect sense." She'd always liked that about the stories. They made sense, so much unlike her own life and mind.

---------Hanako listened with honest curiosity but about halfway through it faded into passive listening. Carmindy seemed enthusiastic but the pink-haired foreigner found reading a bit of a drawl and nothing but tiresome when it was written in English. Never the less she did not have to try to smile. It made her happy to see her new friend so excited about something and to see the nervous air slipping away from her. ---------"Maybe you can find some of those books here," she offered. "Some were burned when the gang was new. For starting fires. But when Tony found out I hear he was so angry that the people who burned them thought he was going to kill them." She sighed and looked up at the ceiling, bring out some flower petals to twirl about again. "Books are not burned now. Or ruined. We have to treat them right." She looked back at Carmindy. "And computers. Daphne will be angry if you break them."

Carmindy nodded as she listened, happy that the books were being treated well. It would have made her extremely sad to see them destroyed. Books were filled with ideas, to burn them would be a great tragedy. She loved books - they offered a quiet solace from her own mind. She could easily slip away in them. Her spirits soared with the hopes that she'd be able to read them here. Computers were also an interesting development. Her brow furrowed when Hanako mentioned someone named Daphne and struggled for a moment, looking down and fidgeting with her hair before finally asking bashfully, "Who's Daphne?"

---------"Eh?" Hanako had forgotten that the girl didn't know the names of everyone around the gang. Suffice to say newbies were not too common and though she usually dealt with them when they came around, she tended to forget that her world was not everyone's world. Then again, she did spent the first twelve years of her life with her clan alone and her first exposure to the rest of the world was being kidnapped then sold off to a prison camp as a wild animal. Two years and she was still getting used to the fact that there are countless other cultures in the world. ---------"Ah. She is one of the older gang members. Red hair, pale skin, loose clothes, about this tall," she stood up and reached up to show the height. "She lived here before the Rebellion." She then grinned and said in a somewhat teasing voice, even though the man whom she was making fun of what not around. "Tony likes her."

She listened carefully, wondering what kind of Supernatural this Daphne was. She sounded interesting, and not too intimidating, unlike Hanako had been at first - as well as Tony. She was still scared of Tony. She smiled at the news, realizing that of course, there had to be a soft underbelly to every dragon - just like in the fairytales. She now wanted to know more about Daphne and Tony's background. She couldn't help but be curious about it. Then, she thought of something. Where would she stay? The Library seemed large enough, but it would be nice if she could have a place to herself that she could keep more or less muffled from passing thoughts. It was getting tiring to block them all out, now, as she wasn't accustomed to the mental strain. "Hanako? Where will I stay?" she asked her new friend after half a moment.

---------Hanako pondered through what information she had gathered on Carmindy. The overall impression was good and safe. Overall, the girl seemed to just want to be out of harm's way. The Rebellion tended to wobble back and forth between being the most dangerous and the most safe, that being they were safe from the Nightwalkers but not so safe from the guards. However, if she was a friend of David that gave her an advantage on the other side too. Hanako could see no downside to letting the newbie join. ---------The question caught her a bit by surprise but she grinned and hopped to her feet once more despite having just sat down again. "You are staying?" she asked energetically. "Hai hai! Upstairs is where most sleep. Or downstairs. The big main room isn't for sleeping because we patrol by the doors and hold big meetings. If you find a place for just you, you can stay there. But check first to see if it is owned."

Carmindy smiled at that. "Really?" she asked, her fingers hugging her duffle-bag. "Is there... a- well- I'm not very good at shutting out thoughts yet and it gets really tiring after a while," she explained, "Is there a separate room of some sort I can have?" She fiddled with her fingers, hoping that that question wouldn't be to pretentious or anything. Did new recruits get their own rooms? She hadn't an idea as to how the hierarchy around here worked.

---------Hanako scrunched her face up in obvious thought over the question. "Eeehhh..." She bit her lip and made several over dramatized expressions of thinking before. saying, "You can sleep in the basement storage room. The one that still has books in it. The other two are full of food and weapons and are locked. But you can stay in the other one. No one wants to stay there. It leaks so it is damp and there is mold." She made a disgusted face. "And there are rats."

Carmindy bit her lip at the mention of the storeroom. On the one hand, she wasn't overly fond of mold and rats. On the other hand she needed a room to herself so she could recharge without having to work her brain too hard. "Oh. Um." She paused and thought, resting her chin on her fists before she finally asked, "Do you think it's possible for me to fix it up?" If the room wasn't salvageable, she might as well not waste her time and just kick out with everyone else, but if it was the extra work would be completely and totally worth it.

---------Hanako thought about it for a moment before nodded. "Yeah. I can make some boys help you clean it." She grinned mischievously, her hair turning a different shade. "I will challenge them to fight and if they lose they have to help you clean the room." She crossed her arms and closed her eyes in confidence. "I always win." This was not completely true, but she liked to think of herself as undefeatable. She never fought Tony and all of the others in the Rebellion who ever challenged her lost or tied in a dual.
