Finally. The halls had gone quiet and the sun had set. Stella had finally found a way out. She was so excited she couldn't even sing along to her songs-so she had spent most of the afternoon day dreaming and snacking on chips and pop. But finally, FINALLY the day guards had gone to bed and they were in the middle of a transition between themselves. Stella grabbed her brand new watch that she had ordered off the internet and set it to 5AM, when the night guards and the day guards would switch shifts again. Then she paused, thinking, she'd probably want to have some time to get back to the door... so she set it to 4:55AM instead.
Her entire apartment was a mess, Stella made a mental note to get Dad to hire a maid for this place. There was dirty laundry all over the sofa and chairs, and empty chip bags too. Stella had never been really concerned about the neatness of her surroundings, but at the moment she was on her hands and knees searching for her last sorta clean sock in a pile of sheets. She sighed as she finally found the other black sock. She leaned back to pull it on but fell back with her feet in the air. She gave a moan and brushed the red hair from her eyes as she leaned up.
After she arose from the floor finally, she started brushing her hair quickly. She was dressed in a short black crop top with a bright red tank top and jean shorts. A typical outfit for Stella. She also now had black socks and a necklace made of numerous different sized chains on. After her hair was straightened she worked on a little bit of make-up.
Once everything was in order, she set out. She grabbed her ipod and ear pieces, stuffing them in her back pocket, then put on her shoes and slowly opened the door and closed it quietly behind her. Walking quietly down the hall, she reached the elevator. She pressed the down button and went to the basement floor. She looked around, then from her other back pocket pulled out a key she had swiped from a guard earlier. She raced down a skinny hallway and up a staircase. She reached a door and saw the door with a glowing key card swipe than entered it. She beamed as it opened.
She held her breath and walked inside to see... what was this? The whole building was messed up. Files scattered on the floor, some were torn and others weren't. She was confused beyond belief-but was thankful to see there were no guards in here. There were lines of cells with bright silver bars. They shone, even in the darkness of the room. She saw another door with a glowing key card swipe. She furrowed her brow and approached it. Though she was a little confused, she decided to swipe it. The door clicked open and she stepped out into the cool air.
She couldn't believe it, she was finally out! Out of the stupid wall and into this mysterious camp she had been trying so hard to get into. Seriously, Stella doubted she had worked so hard for anything else in her life. She felt great and was smiling. But then she realized... now what? There wasn't really anything cool here. She was thinking maybe this had just ended up being a big waste of time when she shivered. It was pretty cold out here, now Stella wished she had brought a jacket or something.

Amri had been needing to find a way out of this place since he had gotten there. He hadn't given himself to come here cause he wanted to be here, he gave himself up so that he could protect Yuliya, and if he couldn't find a way out before he turned twenty, then she would be stuck here without him even though she wasn't even a supernatural. So he'd been scouting the wall all the time, looking for weaknesses, looking for weak guards, looking for some indication of how people got in and out. But unfortunately his mind was terrible at connecting things together and noticing patterns. He just saw a wall with guards whereas other people would see a wall with entrances with guards that periodically changed.
He was sitting in a tree, away from the sight of the guards as he stared at the area known as the cells. He wondered if he would've been one of the people they locked away, probably. He'd caused his fair share of death. Then again, cells like those wouldn't have been able to hold him. Steel bars? It was like snapping a toothpick to him. No wonder they'd stop trying to control them. He chuckled inwardly, but then he thought of the people who would've benefited from the dangerous supernaturals being locked up...the people like his sister...
But these thoughts were shaken from his head when he saw the most unusual person come from the cells...a girl...a teenage girl. What the hell was that? Was she a supernatural? No, if she was, she wouldn't be coming into this place, she'd be getting out. No...no wonder what a person was they'd be wanting to get in the opposite direction. Whoever it was, he couldn't let them get away, maybe they knew something he didn't.
He dropped out of the tree with a thud to look at her more closely. She was cute, but she looked a little lost...did she come here by accident? Well whoever she was, he needed to know. He stepped forward with his gun pointed at he in case this was all some bizarre trap, but he had a smirk on his face. “What's a little girl like yourself doing out alone in the woods? You know there are big bad wolves around, right?”

Stella was nearly scared out of her skin at the voice that spoke behind her. Her hands shot to her sides and she turned, seeing the barrel of the gun. She held out her hands and screamed, "No! Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" she cried. Stella, unlike pretty much everyone else in the entire camp, had never been threatened-let alone threatened with a gun. Sure, she'd seen the guards carry them around in their duties a such. And even then they made her uneasy, but they'd never been pointed directly at her. Ever.
So... she fell down on her butt, covering her her face with her hands so she couldn't see the big scary gun. Slowly her brain processed his words, she peeked through her fingers, confused. "Big bad, what? That means... are you a werewolf? Are you going to eat me? Please don't eat me!" she cried, covering her face with her hands again. She didn't want to be eaten, or bitten. Dammit, what if he changed her into a werewolf? Her dad would be royally pissed, and he'd chuck her in here with all the other big bad creatures and she wouldn't be able to play video games any more or even eat chips! It'd be terrible.
Wait, everyone in here was a supernatural, right? She should just play along. What was that one species that was supposed to be so cool... wasn't it... a witch! She should be a witch, or at least pretend. Maybe she could scare him off with fierce words, and not even have to cast any spells she couldn't actually cast. So she narrowed her eyes and held out her hand, though it was shaking quite a lot. "I... I'm warning you, I'm a very powerful witch and I am not afraid to hex you." she said, her voice not nearly as commanding as she had tried to make it sound. More shaky than anything, actually.

He cocked his head amusedly at her freaking out, though it confused him further. She really didn't belong here then. Maybe she was just a really weak supernatural? Like a light elemental, he never really got what their powers were. And maybe she was new. Well whatever she was, there was no use in scaring her. He spun his gun back into his belt. “Yeah, I'm not wasting a bullet on something I could break so easily.” It was probably not the most comforting comment, but there was only one person in the world he ever tried to comfort, and this was not her, although she was really cute.
He couldn't help but laugh as she tried to imitate a witch. Somebody had obviously never met a witch, or if she had, she'd met a pretty lame one. But why had she come out of the cells? Had she been in there for a really long time and only now escaped? None of it made sense, but he was pretty sure he'd be able to find out. He could intimidate her in so many different ways. “I'm not a werewolf, but you're definitely not a witch,” he said in his amused voice, ending it with one of his trademark smirks.
He walked forward and offered his hand to her to pull her up, though he doubted she'd even consider touching him unless his seduction pull was already starting to get a hold of her. He was big and scary. Weak supernaturals didn't like him cause he was the reason so many of them were killed. But he offered his hand anyway. “Now why don't you tell me what you really are, I don't like being lied to,” he said with a grin. He probably wouldn't hurt her, she was quite hot and it was always a shame to have to dispose of attractive people.

Though he was absolutely no comfort to her whatsoever, his comment made Stella get slightly annoyed. She gave a frown and put her hands on her hips, "How would you know I'm not a witch!" she said tartly. "I mean, I totally could be a witch.", she could totally be a witch, Stella may had never actually met a witch and she might have never actually seen real-life magic-but Stella'd make an awesome witch. She could totally do the whole hexxy thing if she was a witch, and it'd be totally cool. She'd go all zap! and then turn her water into coffee, and her vegetables into Skittles! She could really go for Skittles right now! No. Focus...
She looked up at him from the ground, and noticed something. He. Was. Attractive. That was something she hadn't been expecting. Her dad always made supernaturals sound evil and ugly. He didn't exactly seem nice... but man, he was pretty attractive. Not even considering he was the only guy around her age she'd seen since her last visit back home (other than her brother...), which was two months ago. Damn. She had not expected that whatsoever. But still-she had to admit that it was a perk. Maybe this wasn't a bust after all.
She took his hand and pulled herself up, brushing off her pants just before crossing her arms over her chest and looking him over. She felt the need to be cautious around him, but seriously. He was... hot. It felt hard to have to treat him like an enemy. What would her father say? He'd probably say nothing actually, maybe just a supernaturals are the scum of the earth and what do you do with scum? you lock it up, and you keep it away from decent folk Yeah, something like that. But her dad wasn't here, so she could do whatever she wanted. And she was going to do whatever she wanted. "Okay. So I'm not a witch. Why don't you tell me what you are, then?" she asked, her tone mildly accusing. Sheesh, where she came from, the first question you asked a girl wasn't what are you?.

He just smiled to himself and shook his head when she said she could “totally” be a witch. Girls could be so cute sometimes, but obviously this one had no idea what she was getting into. He wasn't sure whatever that was very attractive or not. The only girl he had ever really cared for was sassy, smart, and knew what she wanted, very in control. But this girl was somewhat endearing. There was something that seemed so...normal about her. She wasn't taking herself seriously or pretending to be mysterious or threatening to kill him. She was acting like a regular high school girl, which he missed. He missed his senior year being here, a year in which he was supposed to enjoy the regular female population.
He frowned slightly at her question, though he had nothing to worry about. “See, I'd tell you what I was, but the name would mean nothing to you.” He looked around to look for something appropriate, until his eyes landed on the tree he'd just been hiding in, “So I'll give you a demonstration.” He walked back the few steps to the tree, sizing it up though he didn't need to. He knew he could do this. He put a hand on either side of the trunk and pulled upward, feeling the ripping through the ground and feeling the roots pull up, and it was a good-sized tree. Grinning and slightly awkward, he held the tree out to her. “Tree?” he offered, like he was offering her a gummy bear.

Stella nodded, smiling at his handy work. It was a little... scary. He was big enough already without strength like that behind his muscles, but it was also pretty cool. And there were stranger powers than super strength, like camouflage, seduction, lycanthropy, vampirism and having more body parts than a human should. Compared to that, super strength was almost... normal. Strange, but... tolerable. And Stella had to admit, it was rather attractive as well. Though her rather simple mind couldn't really explain exactly how, but he just seemed more and more desirable by the minute.
She laughed when he offered her the tree, smiling and walking up to the big tree and looking at the roots that had been pulled from the ground. She laid a hand on it and laughed, "Anwh, You killed the poor tree." though Stella, barely even the kind of person who took the time to sort her trash from her recyclables, could care less whether the tree would stand another day. It was just a shame it would never be cut up into paper or something.
Stella hoped that he wouldn't ask about her species again, as she had no idea what to respond with. She obviously made a big mistake with the witch thing, but she couldn't think of anything else. Not with this stunning guy in front of her occupying the majority of her thoughts. Maybe she'd successfully changed the subject though...

He grinned and tossed the tree back, letting it land on its side with a crunch. He probably shouldn't tell Yuliya about that, she would grow sad because it was probably home to a bunch of birds, squirrels and insects, but she didn't have to know, and he felt like showing off. He loved showing off for girls, they were always so receptive and quick to compliment him. He remembered Malika getting so upset because there was always a group of girls watching his basketball practices, shouting out encouragement and oohing whenever he did something that was the slightest bit impressive.
“Killing a tree is probably the least bad thing I've done,” he said with a laugh, though other people probably wouldn't take a statement like that so lightly. But most people in here had gotten used to the idea that at least half the people in this place had killed someone before, if not many people, it didn't seem like such an ominous thing to say, especially because it could mean many different things, since there were a lot of things that he thought were worse than killing a tree. It could just also be referring to the amount of underage sex he had.
“You still didn't tell me what you are, though,” he realized, giving her another grin. He was genuinely curious. She obviously wasn't one of the big ones, a vampire, a werewolf, or one of the strong elementals. But there were plenty of weakass supernaturals who went around trying not to be noticed or joining larger gangs to protect themselves. But whatever she was, he needed to find out how and why she had come out of the cells and if she knew a secret about how to get out of this place. “I promise I won't bite,” he said as he took a step closer to her, trying to lure her into security.

Stella was getting nervous. She was never one to be great in tight situations like this-nor was she one to be quick on her feet. His words made a cold chill drip down her spine, like ice or snow poured in the back of her jacket on a snowy day. Not only did the grammar sound funky, but it made her anxious. She remembered her fathers words, "These supernaturals, they're dangerous to us-to mankind. That's why my work is so important, to keep these man-killers at bay to protect us.". The people in here had done something to deserve being in here, they were murderers, the lot of them. She began to take a step away, but... there was something very alluring about him, something that made her want to be closer. Nearer. Something so safe or... safe? Safe? Stella was confused, but... she didn't really care. This man was safe. He was safe... right?
What was she... what was she? Well, wait... Her head was getting fuzzy and it took her a moment to process the question. "Wha-What am I. Well I-I... I'm a girl. Female actually." she said, avoiding his gaze and looking at the ground beside her. His deep blue eyes were rather... entrancing. She felt unusually skittish... nervous even-why was she nervous? It was only a big, dangerous, seriously hot, possibly homicidal supernatural. What was to be afraid of? "a-and I'm a... I'm a Stella. Yes, my name's Stella-but some people call me Stell. But most people call me Stella. You can call me Stella." she stuttered, still avoiding his gaze-though she did take a few peeks at him with curious eyes.

He chuckled to himself when she said she was a girl who was a Stella. It was impossible to not notice how adorable she was, she didn't even seem to get the question. Of course he was used to girls getting a little tongue-tied around him, it came with the job title, but most people around here had a little bit more control over themselves. He felt very much in control. He could kill her if he felt like it or just get her to do whatever he wanted. He was confident in his abilities. But for once, he just wanted to see how she reacted to him, or if she'd just pass out.
“Believe it or not, I'm well aware you're female,” he said as he strutted over to her until he was standing only a foot or so in front of her, close enough to tell the color of her eyes and feel the slight bits of radiating warmth off her body, “I have a Ph.D. In girl noticing, it'd take quite a bit to not notice you, Stella.” He had his smirk on, not quite his confident, trademark, default setting smirk, but his flirty smirk, the kind that gave girls butterflies. But for some reason, he decided to turn it up a notch with this one, maybe it was because she was cute, or maybe it was because she was refreshingly normal, but he actually felt like putting forth an effort. Suavely, he picked up her hand to kiss the back of it, smiling as he said, “I'm an Amri, you can call me Amri.”

Stella had to keep herself from hyperventilating, the closer he got to her, the more she got nervous. The more the blood rushed to her head and her face heated and her heart pumped like a piano ticker thing, what was it called? A tuner, a ticker a metro... metronome! right. Her heart was ticking like a metronome on it's highest setting. Which was really really fast. It took her a while to process his words, and they didn't really help. He was flirting with her right? That was flirting... totally that totally had to be flirting... He liked her? He thought she was pretty, beautiful? Or was he just teasing her? So much to process, but most of her brain was occupied by how incredibly attractive he was. How strong he was, how big his muscles were, how deep and entrancing his eyes were and how dark and absolutely handsome.
He took her hand and she thought she was going to fall over in a swoon, but somehow she managed to keep her balance; though she still stared at her hand and the spot where he'd kissed it. It took her a moment to realize he'd given her his name. Amri, what a nice name. Well not nice but... handsome. A handsome name for a devastatingly hot guy. Amri, his name was Amri. She had to repeat it in her head to hold onto it in the crazy rush of thoughts and emotions going through her.
So... she should probably flirt back. She'd done that before. The trick was to be all smooth and suave and think of the wittiest, most clever statements her mind could come up with. But, usually her targets were never as hot as him. So, the best she could actually come up with was, "Amri, nice name. Really nice name. Better than plain old Stella. I mean-Stella's such a boring, normal old name.". She spoke a little more confidently than she felt, but only a little. The consistency of her voice wasn't quite right, and she still couldn't quite keep his eye contact, but she was keeping her composure better than she thought she'd be able to.

“Oh I don't think so, Stella means star, a beautiful bright star that shines in the middle of the darkness.” He shouldn't be enjoying himself this much, but it seemed the more nervous a girl was, the more fun it was to completely sweep her off her feet. Amri didn't actually flirt that often, he let girls flirt with him and then went from there. And most of the girls here were annoying and thought they were good fighters who could take him down or something, so Amri didn't even try to be pleasant. But if he wanted to, he could turn on the charm to see the effects.
But then again, she also was just worth flirting with. Normally Amri could divide girls into three categories: Pretty, cute, and hot. A hot girl had nice legs, intense eyes, and full lips. A pretty girl had sparkling eyes and walked with grace. A cute girl smiled a lot and had dimples usually. Every once in awhile a girl fit into two categories. His sister, he thought, was cute and pretty. Malika had been hot and pretty. But this girl...she seemed to be all three. There was definitely something sensual about her, but she really was genuinely pretty, and then her whole attitude was just adorable. He had quite a find on his hands, and he wasn't just about to let it slip away, especially when she seemed equally enthralled with him. “Kind of like how you stand out among all the other people here, we wouldn't want someone like you getting hurt.”

Stella felt her heart racing inside her chest as he spoke. He was so awesome. His voice was perfect and smooth, reminding her off the silk dress she wore for fancy parties she went to so her father could show her off to his political buddies. His skin was a perfect shade of dark tan that made her shiver. And his eyes. By God his eyes were practically glowing sapphires of striking blue. His whole... appearance. Everything about him was perfect.
As she met his gaze as he finished his words, her eyes became locked with his. His beautiful, handsome, perfect blue eyes. They were stunning-they stunned her. They really did. Like a deer caught in headlights she gaped for a moment before speaking, "R-Right. Wouldn't want that. I'm sure someone like... like you probably doesn't worry about getting hurt though." she stuttered. He must be like-the most powerful guy 'round here. He could tear a tree out of the ground like he was picking up a twig. He must be like... the leader of like... everything. And he like... liked her. Or at least. He was flirting with her. He was flirting with her, right? Or something like that... He was wasn't he? Her brain was going at the speed of light but she still couldn't figure out that stupid little question.
All she knew, was he was the hottest guy she'd ever seen, and was calling her pretty and stuff and attractive and... and... and she just wanted to get closer and closer to him. So slowly she took another, small, baby step towards him. She wanted to touch him, feel him, smell him. She wanted nothing more than to kiss him, feel his lips and just sink into his big, strong arms. But what if he didn't like her? What if he didn't want to kiss her? What if she was just reading the whole situation wrong? The more she thought about it the more she wanted it. The hungrier she got for it-but in her completely stunned trance she could only stand there with a curious look on her face.

“I suppose I don't,” he said with a grin and a shrug, “but I might not be the strongest thing in here.” After all, he had to be a little bit humble. Not too much, cause that wasn't really his thing, but a little bit. Girls liked a little bit of humility, as long as it was spoken and not shown. Not that he really needed to try with her, she seemed like she might swoon no matter what he did, but that was kind of refreshing after dealing with all of those girls who claimed he wasn't attractive to them just because they thought he was too arrogant. God no one cared about his feelings.
“But you seem like a capable girl, you wouldn't need me defending you, would you?” The seeming like a capable girl part was a lie, she seemed like the kind of person who would get their ass kicked fast, but she still hadn't told him what her powers were and he was keen to find out, just in case he needed to watch himself or in case she would actually be useful to him. So far no one had been useful enough for him to keep around long term, but maybe she would change that. “After all, you did manage to get into the cells. Can you walk through walls or something?”
He reached his hand forward to rest on her shoulder as he cocked his head, as if lulling her to tell him what he'd seen. It had to work. So far of all the girls in the camp she had been the one to succumb the most easily to his powers, in fact, she reminded him of the way girls acted towards him outside of this camp, the non-supernatural ones. Humans always seemed to be more vulnerable to the powers of supernaturals, but maybe this was just one of her weaknesses. He was dying to find out.

Stella blushed at his complement. Oh, her? Capable of defending herself? Not a chance. She was not at all physically strong and unless she could scare them off with her singing voice-there was no way she'd be able to help herself against almost anyone in here. 'Course, she'd never tell him that. "Well-Yo-you wouldn't need to defend me..." she said quietly with a slight shrug and a bit of a pouty face. In all honesty, she'd think it'd be totally cool if he protected her. It would be cool seeing him fight off something that tried to hurt her. Yeah, that'd be awesome to have a totally sexy bodyguard in here.
He noticed? He'd saw her? Now what? She should just tell him, that she wasn't really an inmate. It'd be easier than coming up with a fathomable lie. But he might not like her if he knew she wasn't a supernatural, and she still hadn't gotten to kiss him yet. She didn't think she could live without tasting those beautiful, alluring lips of his at least once. She managed to look away from his striking blue gaze and her hand brushed over the stolen guard access card she'd swiped from a clueless guard. She needed that to get back in, if not she'd be trapped out here, helpless except for the gorgeous Amri to protect her.
Then he touched her shoulder. His handsome hand had touched her small, shaking shoulder. She felt herself almost going limp with disbelievement and utter shock. Her lip quivered a little and her shoulders were stiff as a plank as she lied. "Nawh, or like. No I can't like, walk through walls." It'd be a good excuse, but a bad idea if he asked her to demonstrate. "I-uh. I just you'know. Have my ways." she stammered and stuttered along her words, trying to think of a good reason to give so he'd leave the subject alone.
