The sky was bright, and the clouds in the sky were pure white-they reminded Heather of the foam coming from the sea on certain days in her home by the ocean. It was the perfect temperature outside and the air had the freshness of spring and the very powerful smell of flowers. Here was the Earth Circle, a gang Heather was proud to call home. They seemed to have a fondness with growing plants and the whole grove was one of the most beautiful places Heather had ever had the pleasure of being in. She felt like she belonged here, and she had never felt like she belonged anywhere except by her parent's side.
Today, Heather was doing some planting of her own right now in a corner of the grove. She wore her usual pure white dress and beige sandals. Her hair was let loose, but brushed thoroughly in beautiful golden locks of blonde hair that fell like a shining waterfall down the sides of her face. Her father had always said she had her mother's hair, and her mother, Cindy, was known as an extremely beautiful woman-but had always loved her father. They had grown up together in a tight-knit supernatural community, and when they were eighteen they got married right out of high school. Her father, Chris, was a meek man with mousy brown hair and deep hazel eyes. He wasn't overly handsome, but was the kindest and gentlest man Heather had never known. They never looked like a couple, but they were deep in love, even after twenty years of marriage they looked like little love birds every morning. Her dad would make her mother a pot of home-grown organic tea every morning and have it ready for her, and her mother would bring him in fresh home-cooked lemonade and biscuits with jam.
The thoughts of her mother made her sad, but the familiar feeling of the soil between her fingers and the cool breeze kept her calm and let her think of them with a faint smile on her face. She patted the soil around her flower firmly, smiling at it as she finished her work. It was a pure white orchid. Her family loved orchids, they were even named after the flower. They had hundreds of different types of orchids in their extensive greenhouse. The pretty, little white orchid reminded her of home and she closed her eyes-and could just... imagine she was there. At home. With her parents. But. She wasn't at home, and probably never would be again. The sad thought made her frown once more and she gave a quiet sigh. It was different days for her, and she'd just have to make the best of it.

let's leave no words unspokenAND SAVE REGRETS FOR THE BROKEN. Will you even look back when you think of me? All I want is a place to call my own && mend the hearts of everyone who feels alone
Ian had woke up rather early this morning, He had a few things to deal with, having had some issues a day or so back. It was nothing he could not handle though, and so had left early before any one else was awake or around. And now it was a bit later on in the day and it seemed perfect out. Walking through the gates to the camp he looked around a bit alot of people where doing small task or sleeping, Which he was glad to see since it meant every one was comfortable enough to relax here, which over anything besides their protection he worried or cared about. A few members came up to him asking question as he walked in,He told them what needed to be done and who could help then headed to his little house. Changing he cleaned up a bit since he was a mess, Once all clean he changed clothes putting on a pair of khaki shorts and a plain white t-shirt. It was good enough for him and would be perfect for the temperatures outside.Once finished he headed back out to see what every one was doing and find out what new additions where being put in. The camp always seemed to be getting bigger which was fine to him. As he was walking around though he saw a girl he had only seen once or twice before, She was planting a pure white orchid the flower brought a gentle smile to his face, and since he knew she was knew decided to say hello. Walking towards her he stopped beside her and knelt down beside her and place a hand on the ground. As doing so small rocks about the size of his head rose to the surface and created a circle around her flower, each of the rock of a different color being jade or crimson and even light blue. He smiled a bit and looked towards her.
"My names Ian, and since im the chief here I figured it would be good to welcome you to the circle and see if their was anything you needed to feel more welcomed and at home. "
It was not that he desired throwing his title around but figured it was better for new members to know who he was and if he introduced him self in person it would allow the members to feel more welcomed. At least that was what his plan was. He always wanted people to feel welcomed and safe here, and being new to this place having something like that really could make a difference. Which was why even though he was in this place he wanted to make it the best her could.
You know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Heather was a little startled by him, and jumped a little, but she beamed at the pretty rocks that formed around her flower. They were so pretty, and of all different colours. Her mouth gaped a little and her hand touched them softly. They reminded her of the pretty shells and stones on the beach or the really nice gemstones her mother sometimes made jewellery out of. She smiled and looked up to the origin of these pretty rocks. She knew him, or at least new OF him, she'd seen him around more than twice-but she doubted he saw her. Not that Heather was a creeper or a stalker, but she had the effect to blend in with a crowd. She liked it like that, nothing too interesting about her to make her stand out. It let her survive so far.
He seemed really nice, and she hadn't met a single person yet that didn't like him. He was also very gentle, and very inviting. In fact, he reminded her of her father. Not in a way that he felt like a fatherly figure to her, but his easy-going personality, soft faced complexion and kind essence felt like her father. They also shared a species, earth elemental. "What, me? Need more welcoming? No, this is the most welcome place I've been in this camp. Thank you, for leading it. It must be difficult." she said softly, Heather'd never been the leading type. She was skittish and didn't like making any sort of order if she could help it. She wiped her dainty hand on the grass to get the soil out of it and held out her now... relatively clean hand for him to shake it. "I'm Heather. Heather Orchid. Shapeshifter." she said in her soft, kind voice.

He kept in the same stance kneeled down beside her. It was comfortable and he was enjoying looking over the flower she had planted. It was a beautiful addition to the place and one he had not yet seen in any of the other gardens around. When she spoke he offered a gentle and kind smile and was happy to hear what she had said. He always enjoyed being thanked for what he was doing. Even though he did not try and act better then any one else. His role was only due to his idea of making a safe place for others in this hell hole. And now it lead to one massive group of people who he felt where more like family then any thing else. He always tried to meet each member and get to know ever one. It was not always possible and he knew he did not know them all but At least he tried to.
"Well Im glad to hear you feel welcomed. It is a personal goal of my own to make every one feel safe and content here, Even under the ideals of being in this place, At least I can try to make it some what of a home. And for most this is their home now that the real world kicked them away and shunned us. So most dont even want to leave. "
He watched as she looked over the stones and softly ran a hand over them. It was a unique talent he held and often enjoyed doing such things as this, Since it made things in the world seem so much different. Their where such beautiful things in this world hidding by the ugly most forgot they existed. Placing a hand on the ground he smiled as a small stone formed up into his hand and reshaped itself into a small cat, the stone was a mix of bright blue and black. Keeping it hidding in his hand he moved to the side so he was facing her and gently took her hand and placed the stone into her palm and shut it around it.
"Well Heather its very nice to meet you, and as a welcoming gift seeing how Iv noticed you enjoy being a cat.. Here is a little charm for you. "
You know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Heather's brow furrowed in sadness at the mention of the outside world. She wanted to leave, but then again she didn't. She didn't like being in here, away from home-but she remembered... there was nothing for her to return to. Her home had been wreaked when they came to take her and her parents away. Heather didn't remember much, as she had made sure not to think about all that when she came in here. But what she did remember gave her nightmares. She hadn't done anything wrong, except help her parents out with their cause. Apparently their 'cause' was just wrong in the eyes of the people.
But when he took her hand she felt something in it. She blinked in curiosity and when she took her hand from his and she gasped at the beautiful stone. Her features brightened and she put her other hand to her mouth in exclamation. It was gorgeous, beautiful really. She had never seen anything like it her eyes softened when she looked at him, if she were a cat at the moment she'd be purring very loudly. "My, Gosh. Ian this is gorgeous!" she said in amazement, still gaping at the beautiful stone. She looked back at it and ran her fingers over it. Looking back at him with a smile, "Now I wish I had something I give you." she said sadly. She was never the type to take gifts lightly, and as she closed her hands around her gift she bit her lip a little.
She blushed a little, she wasn't used to people noticing her. Even though she was a supernatural, and everyone she had ever met knew that, they had all gotten used to her family. She had only been to a few places in her entire life other than Sangvene, her home, the small town near her home and a few little towns between her home and the redwood forest. Everyone knew the Orchid family, and almost no one disliked them. They were kind, gentle and non-demanding of anyone. So when she walked down the street, no one really cared. To them she was the shy daughter of the Orchids-nothing more. So it was odd for her to think someone she'd never spoken to had noticed that about her-though it was quite obvious as she was a cat usually at least once a day. She smiled once and tried to blink away her blush as she looked at the ground beside her, "Thank you.".

He was pretty happy with the reaction, It was fun to give things to others, it made him feel like he could help out a bit, even if it was just by making them smile. No one was sure why he was here though, What could some one as sweet as him have done to end up in a place that was meant for dangerous supernaturals. But then again he often forced his past to the deepest parts of his mind and never once talked about the,. He had been asked a few times when he was new what he had done to get stuck here, But his answers never where the truth. The last thing he needed was people to fear him. Snapping out of the thoughts on his past he looked back towards her when she poke softly.
"Well you have, See the flower you did that. And you are here working with us. That their alone are things I would call gifts. So Heather dont every feel as though you have not done enough, Every little thing is something towards a new future. I can imagine It can not be easy for you to be here.. I accept the fact im dangerous to others which is why I dont mind being here. But for some one like you... This place is no good, your to sweet and nice, the girl boys back home crushed on and dreamed about. Though because of your nature you always stayed in the background to shy to get out and meet others. But at least now your here though its far from home, you will have friends and people who will care about you. "
After talking his face flushed slightly. He had realized that was a rather long speach though true was most definetly not as smooth sounding as he would have prefered. Which was strange for him normally he could talk to any one and have it come out smooth as silk, But this time it seemed more like a lecture or something. He hoped she would not be offended by it.
You know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Heather's face reddened further at his little speech, though her smile grew. "Boy's didn't crush on me..." she mumbled a little, though honestly she'd have had no idea if boy had crushed on her. She wasn't one to notice boys, though sometimes she was told they noticed her. Usually she just got embarrassed and brushed it off with a good book. The only romance Heather needed was in her books, the real thing... well it scared her. The idea of boys and stuff, well it all made her blush.
He seemed to know more about her than she suspected, she looked at her hangs and wringed them together with the pretty kitty stone still in them. She gave another smile and met his gaze once again, "Well, you just have me all figured out then, don't you." she said quietly. Then she processed something he had said. I accept the fact I'm dangerous to others... her brow furrowed a little in slight confusion, "You don't seem dangerous, why are you in here.". He seemed like such a kind, gentle guy, how did he deserve to be in here? Heather had never assumed everyone she met here deserved to be in here, mostly because she knew she shouldn't be in here. She'd discovered that typically, they had done something wrong to get in here, but she had always assumed people like Ian had been in siduations similar to her.

He could not help but enjoy her response. She was how he had guessed, Though it was not such a bad thing, she was different then most others especially compaired to those here. It was hard to believe she even was put in to go to this place. He knew what he had done before coming here was wrong which was why he did his best to not do things of that nature any more then he had to to. Looking back towards her as she spoke one more he offered a soft smile again and a gentle nod.
"Well I am the cheif here right? So I should know everything I can about the people here as well. Though Id like to say I would enjoy getting the chance to know you more, so long as it is okay by you? "
Standing up he streched out a bit and looked back down to her as she spoke once more, Her question was fair, His persona compaired to what he had done and could do did not match up together so well. He gave a soft shoulder shrug, and offered her a hand to help her up before speaking once more to her.
"Well.. Saddly I am, and as for why Im here.. I lost my temper and used my power over earth to destroy a town and as well took alot of lives with it. Not something im proud of but I can not change my past only form my future. "
He knew telling his past to others could cause them to fear him, but if he lied or kept secrets they would not trust him. Honestly was something he tried to best to give to those of his gang. No secrets and he always did all he could to be sure they knew he would not ever let himself or others harm any member of the gang.
You know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Heather nodded eagerly, "'course. We can get to know each other." she said, looking up at him with curious eyes. He was kind, and gentle towards Heather, and she couldn't help but hope that maybe he could be her friend. Heather didn't get too many possible friends, especially around here. Her timid nature and gentle composure was so different to many people in this camp. They had insisted on acting strong and dangerous, which instantly made Heather hesitant.
She took his hand while he spoke, using his weight to help herself up. While he spoke she looked back down to the stone in her hand in the shape of a cat. "Oh." was all she said after he finished, her voice dry as it caught in her throat. She couldn't picture it, even with her imagination, she couldn't even fathom the kind boy in front of her killing people. But, he didn't sound like he was lying, nor did she believe he would lie about something like that.

Ian moved back a bit after helping her and looked around. He did not doubt she felt a bit shocked by what he had told her of his past, Most where, after all who ever would think one of the nicest people here would turn out to be one of the ones who actually deserved to be in this place. Only others he could think of who did truly as well was the nightwalkers and a few of the rebels. But the ones in his gang where nothing like that, most where more calm and harmless by nature.
Turning his head towards her he smiled softly and gave a soft shrug. It was not the best times to make her feel out of place or concerned so a change of topic seemed to be the best thing for now. Just the issue was finding a topic that would be better suited. He still did not know to much about her, just what he had gathered from talking to her, and seeing her around a few times before.
"So after all the gloom talk, how about something a bit lighter? So you are a shapeshifter, in my gang, seemingly kind and gentle what else is their to you? "
What better of a way to learn more about her then to talk with her and ask questions? It was actually nice to find some one like her, It made him feel as though nothing bad could come to this place, as though all the evil was just gone for the time around her. It was abit strange really.
You know to keep your hopes up high and your head down low.

Heather pushed away the negative feelings. The heavy feeling of unhappiness didn't become the innocent girl and it was easier for her to simply look onto the bright side of life. She gave a shrug at his question, "Nothing really. Born and raised on the Pacific coastline, and was sent here to Sangvene over six months ago." she looked at her hands and wringed them a bit while she continued to flush a pink colour. She felt a little weird talking about herself, but it was better than talking about what they were talking about before.
She wanted to avoid straying from the subject so after a slight pause she continued on her story of how she got here, "See, my family was pretty wealthy and really concerned about the treatment of the inmates here in Sangvene. They started trying to spread awareness and eventually was starting to fight for the supernaturals to gain rights again." she shrugged, still wringing her hands as she bit the side of her lip as she paused, "But I guess they didn't like that very much, did they?". No, they hadn't liked that. Not one bit. Perhaps the only reason that Heather was even it here was because there was simply no other place for her to go. All her family had gone into hiding once they started working with the rebellion and she was in no condition to simply be dropped into an orphanage after watching her parents get arrested and her home invaded. There was simply nowhere else to place her.
