Yuliya's eyes widened to almost their maximum amount of width when Cesarina yelled at her again. She didn't know what she was doing wrong, normally she was so good about making animals happy. She was always very careful, she was very respectful and cautious but nothing she did helped with her. Every little while she'd be given a hopeful hint of friendship but then it would be shattered. It seemed to do with the fact that Calix was nice to her...but as far as Yuliya knew, that was his choice...unless she had some enchanting power she didn't know about? No, impossible, people never liked her, but maybe Cesarina was worried about that, Cesarina was worried she'd hurt him. But Yuliya was pretty sure she'd never hurt anyone her whole life, not on purpose. Sometimes she did things wrong and people thought she was weird, sometimes it felt like her parents were hurt because she was broken. But she wasn't even sure how a person went about hurting someone on purpose, it seemed strange but she knew it was done.
“I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry...” Yuliya said as she scootched herself further away from Calix and kept her head down, almost coming to tears. She didn't want Cesarina to be upset, but obviously she had done something wrong and maybe getting further away would help. Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe she should leave even though Calix asked her to stay. Somehow she knew this was all going wrong and she'd messed up. She was about to really start crying when Coconut leaped off the ground and bounded over to her, nuzzling the top of her head with her whiskers. “Hey! I never signed up to be taken by anyone. Sugarcube, you need to take a chill pill,” Yuliya heard Coconut say. Yuliya was worried Cesarina would be insulted but she did seem to have already developed a fondness for Coconut, it was hard not to. Still, she was worried. Ember settled himself between Yuliya and Calix, keeping a wary eye on the tiger.

"Cesarina!" he hissed in anger. Watching in surprise as the girl backed down so easily. That wasn't a good plan around Cesarina, she was a big bully. If she knew she had a chance at being in control she would take it at all costs. Lips pulling back, Calix snarled a few choice words at his beloved tiger. She was being rude because of her own childishness. Sensing more than seeing Cesarina's effect at his warning snarl, she took a step back. They had a strangely healthy respect for each other, they knew to never push the other passed their limits. His anger fading as Cesarina realized her mistake, he shook his head softly turning his gaze upon the innocent female.
Cesarina felt the anger soar through their connection. Wincing at the ferocity of it, she took a timid step back. She was instantly aware that she had over stepped her bounds. Calix was not one to get angry easily. He must have some sort of kindness towards this meek female. Or he would never do such a thing. Calix was usually the one to shrug and make excuses for her, not actually yell at her. It just showed how much she had over stepped her bounds.
Calix reached out a timid hand toward the girl. "She didn't mean to frighten you, she is merely being difficult..... Its not your fault.... Its hers....." he murmured softly. Although in a strange way, he felt he was betraying Cesarina, he still felt both females needed to hear it. Cesarina couldn't be so utterly over protective or him. It wasn't right. "Listen miss Yuliya, she truly does like you dear, she's just overly protective of what she assumes is hers" he tried to expllain. He already knew there was no way she would ever be able to understand their connnection, but it was a start.
Cesarina felt his disappointment even worse than the anger. This is what really tore her up. She hated making him disappointed in her. It felt as if her soul was being ripped from her chest. Turning, she aimed to take her aim off the scene. Thats when she noticed her new 'pet's' words. "I never said you have a choice" she said firmly, confused at the disobedience of the cub. Why wouldnt it listen to someone who was obviously more qualified to be a mother? Such things like this didn't make sense to the logical tigress.

Yuliya had found herself curled into a little ball. She always seemed to make herself very small whenever she felt she did anything wrong. She remembered when her parents were angry at her she would squeeze herself under her bed and curl up for hours on end, not coming out until the dead of night to steal a piece of bread from the kitchens and then she would sneak out to the stables and sleep in Black Jewel's stall. Because maybe then people wouldn't be mad at her. Maybe one day she could curl up so much that she would cease to exist and disappear into nothingness. But alas eventually she would feel herself unfold and shed' have to face the world again.
“No I am wrong I am always wrong,” she said in a muffled and quiet voice, not daring to lift her head up from her arms. Just because he said it wasn't her fault didn't mean it wasn't true, he and Cesarina were fighting because of her and she didn't want that. It was like when Amri would fight with their parents because of her and it would just make her sad. She should just disappear. She always made people angry. Maybe if she was gone then everyone she knew would be happy. Somehow she always managed to mess things up for people so quickly. She hoped Calix and Cesarina wouldn't be angry at each other for long, she would feel so guilty, especially since all she wanted to do in life was make animals happy.

Calix couldn't hold back any more. Moving forward slowly, he attempted to wrap his arms around the smaller female. Closing his arms around his new friend, he felt her fear and saddness soak into his form. He hated when anyone was upset. If she allowed him too, he would try to cuddle the girl closer. Pressing her against his chest and placing his chin upon her soft hair. "She doesn't dislike you, Yuli (AN: comes out as You-lee), she is merely protective, and likes the small furry thing" he whispers softly, trying to soothe her. He felt a natural urge to protect this girl. He knew they were friends, and he would protect her wit his life. Which in a sense, saved her from Cesarina. For if he died protecting her, Cesarina would die as well. It was the way of the soul-mates. They both knew it, and stuck by it with a vengence, not to mention, their friendship.
Cesarina watched the strange actions from Calix with confusion. Why did he feel such a strong protectiveness over her? She knew he was one to protect those in need. But the way he was acting, it was as if he had known her before. It must be his natural kindness mixed with the urge to protect women. He had been raised well. A sigh rumbled through her form. He was putting her in a difficult situation. She couldn't protectu him from this female if he refused to let her. He was such a strange human. Stupid humans. Lifting her siberian form she strode toward the couple. Her head low, her ears flattened against her skull. "I'm sorry" she murmured softly to the female. She had to be nice to this damned female. After all, Calix could do worse for a friend.
"You are now a friend of Calix's, and therefore, under my protection" she grumbled softly. Yellowed orbs gazed around quickly. She didn't want any unnessisary animals to see her next moves. It would not do good to loose her reputation over a useless matter. She wasn't even sure how long humans stayed friends usually. But from teir mating habits, they changed way too much. Taking another step forward, she butted her head gently against the females shoulder. With that, she let her rough tongue flick over the shoulder of the girls shirt. That was all the girl was getting.
Calix smiled brightly. His smile streching from ear to ear. His long black and orange tail swiped back in forth in his happiness. He loved it when Cesarina came to her senses. There was no need to be so cruel and unkind. Everything got done better with a smile, and usually quicker as well. His fingers trailed over her back, stroking her in a soothing fashion. He expected to be pushed away at any second. "Thats her way of accepting you, see, she does like you, or she wouldn't give in so easily" he urged thoughtfully. His blue eyes staring after his companion as she stode into the awaiting trees. Hunting again. She hunts for food, while he hunts for friendship.

Yuliya froze when Calix suddenly pulled her over to him. The only person in her life to ever do something like that was Amri and he was her brother so it was normal and okay. Her instinct was to pull away fast but her limbs were locked in their surprise. Was this a normal thing for people to do? Was this something she was only freaking out about inside because she was weird and strange? Well one thing she knew was that Amri wouldn't like it. If there was one person who hated her being touched more than she did it was him. It was a good thing he wasn't here or she had a feeling this boy would already be dead.
She wasn't quite sure what to do, other than stay completely awkwardly still. She supposed it was supposed to be a comforting motion, she sometimes had animals cuddle up to her, but to her it wasn't all that comforting. It made her feel paranoid, she just wasn't used to people touching her at all. She was the type of person to refuse even shaking a person's hand. She swallowed, wondering if she should say something or just stay as she was, frozen and petrified.
It made her feel a bit better though, when Cesarina showed affection to her. Yuliya was able to handle animal affection, it made sense to her. She wished she didn't feel like she was coming between them though, they had a bond that was unlike her bond with animals, it was a strong bond just between the two of them, more similar to the bond that Yuliya had with her horse, Black Jewel. She would hate it if some stranger came between them. “Y-You do not have to be my friend if you do not want to be,” she said softly to her, she didn't want to force her to do anything...but then again if this Calix person wanted to be Yuliya's friend it would be much easier if she and Cesarina were friends too. Wait...did he have a friend now? One that wasn't an animal? Her first friend that people other than her could talk to? What did it even mean to be a friend? She didn't know, was it just being in the same place and not yelling at each other most of the time? “A-Are you my friend?” she found herself asking, thinking it would be the easiest way to find out, and hopefully she wouldn't embarrass herself.

His smile faded slowly. He had noticed her body stiffen. That wasn't a good sign. She obviously didn't want to be touched. He should respect that. He should have asked first. Retracting his arms slowly, he attempted a weak smile. "Sorry about that, some people don't like to be touched, I should have asked first" he stated softly, wit a slight shrug of his shoulders. Scooting back over to his tree, he leaned back against it. He didn't want to anger her by being in her personal space when she didn't want him there. But that didn't mean he would give up. He would just have to remember to ask next time. He wasn't used to normal human antics. He remembers always giving people hugs, but wit Cesarina they would purr and cuddle. He knew enough to not just start purring and nuzzling up to Miss Yuliya. She was delicate. Like a rose. No. Even a rose was more resiliant than this beautiful sunflower. She reminded him of a tulip? No. A....... There were so many flowers this little sunshine reminded her off. Without consideration, he told her what he was thinking "You remind me of, the bleeding heart flower, with your sweetness and happy attitude, the ladys tears flower because of how extraordinarily homely you are, the canna flower, because of how bright and cheerful and how you said i was 'yellow' ". His chuckle was happy and not in the least sarcastic or condensending. "And most of all, you remind me of the Nymphaea Tetragona, because of you beauty which only comes when you open up and smile, how fragile you are, your delicacy, and your rarity" he finnished thoughtfully. It ocured to him sometimes that he thought about flowers far too much.
"Yes, of course we are friends" he answered softly. Silently hoping that she wouldn't avoid him because he said they were. People were hard to figure out some times. He smiled with caring eyes, as he reclined against the tree trunk. " I care for you, I will protect you, I will keep you company when you want it, and I will always be here to talk if you need me" he told her softly. His voice was getting lower as he spoke. He didn't want to scare the girl off.
For some odd reason a male with a tail tended to frighten people. It wasnt like he was sick. He wasnt even malformed. He merely had a nearly 6ft long tiger tail. Although he was eager to make friends. It was so hard to come upon a person that Cesarina didn't despize that he had nearly given up. Yuliya wouldn't believe it, but Cesarina could have been a lot worse. She usually ignored his demands and just destroyed the humans. Yuliya hadnt noticed. Cesarina had even trusted Yuliya enough to leave her alone with him. That was a big thing for Cesarina. Calix was proud. This was why he called her his overgrown teddy bear. She didnt like that nickname very much. Something about Siberian Tigers being royalty while bears were scum. She had a deffinant superiority complex, the narcassistic fruit.

She was immediately more comfortable when he let go of her, she just wasn't used to being touched. Even from her parents all she could expect was a pat on the head every once in awhile, Amri was the only one who hugged her and stroked her hair and gave her piggyback rides, but she'd known him all her life. Even if this Calix person seemed very nice...she'd still only known him for a very short while. Plus Amri had forbidden her touching anyone or them touching her, he said she could keep at least a five foot radius between her and any other person, for safety. But sometimes she didn't know what rules she should follow, the rules Amri set for her where the goal was to keep everyone away from her, or the rules her doctor had told her which stated she must at least try to be sociable to every person she met.
She seemed to listen through her eyes as she listened to him speak about the flowers she reminded him of. What she a flower? She'd always been led to believe that she was a weed that needed to be dug up from the roots in order to manicure the perfect lawn for the world. She was just a lowly dandelion, hiding from the world in the shade of the great oak tree that was her brother. But she let her seeds of wishes and hopes and dreams blow to the wind which she hoped would take good care of them. What would he be if he were a plant? Something told her he was an apple tree, steady, and full of many little kindnesses that she could take in her hand and cherish. But she blushed as he talked. Apparently she was many different flowers that all seemed much too pretty to describe her in the least. It all seemed so strange to her, it seemed like she should tell him that people weren't allowed to say nice things about her, because it felt like it was a rule of life for her. She didn't do everything wrong all the time but she always did at the very least one thing wrong and the job of people around her was to tell her what that one thing was, not to tell her nice things.
Her eyes lit up when he said he was indeed her friend. She forgot to hold back her excited “I have a friend!” This was a big moment for her, she had always been told she needed to make a friend and it always ended miserably. She didn't even know how to have a friend, what it involved, how friends went about being friends...suddenly it all seemed new and scary to her. “I have never had a friend...” she admitted, looking down again, sure that it would make him not want to be her friend anymore. Friends were one of those things where it seemed you had to have them in order to get them. Except most people had their first friends when they were four years old, not four times that age. She wasn't worthy to have a friend, and by his description, it meant a lot of things and she wasn't sure if she would be able to do all the things for him he said he'd do for her. She was too unreliable, too unpredictable...not to mention Amri had not approved friendship for her.
