Striding slowly through the forest, he wasn't sure where he was headed. Cesarina was off hunting in this same forest. She would be back soon enough. He was never alone for long. Although he was getting lonely being by himself so much. Cesarina was far to parinoid to just hang around anymore. When she came back, she was always tired. He knew she was just getting used to their surroundins but still. It made him sad.
In his gloved left hand, he carried a notebook, his other hand holding the pencil he was using. He continued drawing as he walked slowly. The flower upon the paper, was what was known as a fox-glove. Calix could remember his father showing him the flower when he was just a little boy. It always made him happy to think of his memories. Especially ones including his father. Unlike most in this camp, he had a wonderful relationship with his father. It was quite nice actually. Although he was sure others would be jealous of him because of it. Thats probably why he didn't talk to many people.
Smiling softly, as he shaded the flower, he thought about the facts. The flower grew from a center shaft. The flowers that bloomed from it were all bell shaped. The colors varied. These kind of flowers were highly poisonus and could put a person in a lot of trouble. They were able to grow to 3 feet tall. The one he was drawing, is white, wit dark black shadows surrounding it. Quite nice if he said so himself.
Finding a spot under a tree, he crossed his legs and began writing around the flower. He spoke out as he wrote. Reciting the Shakespearian words from memory. "Within the infant rind of this small flower, poison hath residence and medicine power. For this, being smelt, with that part cheers each part; being tasted, stays all the senses with the heart. Two such opposed king encamp them still, in men as well as herbs, grace and rude will". Smiling as he finished his cursive writing he smiled with joy. He always felt so acomplished when he finished his artwork.

The forest was where Yuliya felt the most comfortable and sure of herself, even though there were two gangs who lived here and one of them was a gang of werewolves. To bee frank, although werewolves were considered one of the strongest supernaturals, she wasn't as scared of them. They weren't like vampires. And if they were in their wolf form she could calm them down and get them to not attack her. The other gang in the forest was the most peaceful gang and so she was not worried. She walked through the forest on her tip-toes slowly, hand always against the bark of a tree as she gazed around herself.
She also just loved forests. Whenever she was allowed out of the house at home she and her horses and dogs and cats would go outside and ride through the valleys of sunflowers until they reached the forest and they would spend the whole afternoon inside, playing in the streams and dancing around. She was confident in forests and fields of flowers. She could climb trees and find hollows to hide in. She could make herself hard to track and she could keep an eye on anyone. The forest was where she was comfortable.
So she was just walking, with Ember and Coconut at her side, rather oblivious to the world around her, when she realized there was a person on the other side of the tree she was touching, and in her surprise she tripped on one of the roots forward, towards the person. With a squeak she pulled herself upwards into a sitting position and then shot herself back. What was a person doing out here? She knew the gangs usually didn't come to this area. Her eyes were wide but she didn't speak a word. Her comfort had been destroyed.

Blue eyes widened in surprise as he caught the girl falling from the corner of his eye. Turning to try to help the poor girl, he got a familiar warm feeling. Cesarina was deffinantly close by. He heard the threats echoing through his skull as his soul mate advanced towards the unknown female. Dropping his art work to theground, Calix jumped to his feet. Knowing from years of experience, Cesarina wouldn't let the poor girl explain herself. Cesarina was the type to attack first ask questions after the enemies death. Calix already knew Cesarina would consider this girl the enemy because she was within 10 feet of him, and neither of them knew her. Raising his gloved hand, he held it up to the girl. It would be best if she was on her feet.
"Cesarina, Do Not Attack, She Is A Friend" he called loudly, a slight warning growl to his voice. His growl wasn't threatening, he only used it to get his point across. A reverbating snarl cascaded through the imediate area, as leaves rustled behind the stranger. The huge muscled siberian tigress known as Cesarina stalked out of the brush. Keeping as far away from the female stranger as she could, she circled until she came to his side. Her ferocious teeth were bared rudely, and her fur raised as it bristled. She didn't feel like being nice today.
"Who is she? Why is she here?If she comes closer to you, I'll eat her?" Cesarina warned through their mental speech. Calix merely rolled his blue eyes. Females were so hard to deal with sometimes. Perfering to speak aloud, he answered "Thats not very polite Cesarina" he chided, with a few tuts. Reaching down, he pressed his hand into her fur. A calming effect on both of them.
Turning his attention back on the stranger, he offered a kind smile. Secretly hoping she didn't start insulting him as other have in the past. He liked how he looked, and would change it, but that didn't mean that harsh comments don't hurt. "Sorry about that miss. She's protective." he explained with a slight shrug. "Hope I wasn't the one to make you fall. Are you hurt? Do you need help?"

Yuliya was equal parts terrified and awed when she saw the tiger come out of the brush. She had never seen such a large cat, the only cats native to Ukraine were wild cats which she had seen around a few times but they were not much larger than the domesticated cats around her house. Of course she knew about tigers though, she had read books an every animal she could think of, and she knew they were the biggest cats in the world and this one did not seem too happy with her. She looked upwards at the boy, who talked to the tiger...was he an animal elemental like her? Something told her no.
Ember, brave as always, leaped forward between her and the boy and the tiger and growled at them, though he was barely the size of the feline's head. Yuliya shakily stood herself up and looked back and forth between the boy and the cat before her eyes rested on the cat. With a soft but confident voice she would have never been able to muster with a human, she said, “I am sorry, I did not mean to disturb you, I will not hurt him, I was just...walking about.” She didn't know what else to say to her. She couldn't only hope her calming affect over animals would encourage her not to eat her, but if she had to go she would prefer to be the meal of an animal rather than just shot by a human.
It was only then she realized the boy had said something to her, something about her tripping. She had never been very good on her feet, the only place she was graceful was on the back of a horse. Really the only place she had skill whatsoever was with animals, though she also had a thorough knowledge of history. It was also why she was having a hard time responding, not really sure what to say. She wanted to know how he managed to have a tiger as a companion and how he talked to her and all of those things, but the fear of speaking gripped her. Instead she just shook her head as she quietly said, “No...I do not need help.”

Cesarina narrowed her eyes in confusion. As the female spoke to her in a language she didn't completely understand, she felt her anger being to leave her. This human must be some kind of witch. Moving closer to her human soul, she braced her legs. She didn't want this female putting strange thoughts into his mind. She would die before she let a human touch him. "Don't talk to her, she's a witch" she snapped, turning her yellow-ish orange eyes to er human. Lowering her rump to the ground, she lifted her skull higher, showing her regal stature to the female human. This female better not try to take advantage or sucking the blood of her Calix. No one except those she approved of, would ever get close to her Calix.
His blue eyes stared down at Cesarina, frowning gently. He could feel the calmness come over her body, but not over her mind. This girl must have some control over animals. The small creature that thrust itself between the two female's of different species, proved it. Calix watched with a frown, as Cesarina opened her mouth wide in a roar, before jumping forward. If he didn't do something, that little creature would become his lovely Cesarina's dinner.
Jumping forward, he turned his back to the femae and her little pets. Barring his teeth threateningly at Cesarina, he let out a series of snarls and growls in Cesarina's own language. His orange and black tail, now visible to the human female, twitched in anger. Switching back to human, he said, trying to calm himself down "There is no need for anger, it is merely a cub, protecting its mother". He watched, in slight shock, as Cesarina actually turned away, to go and sit by the tree he had recently occupied.
Lifting his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead, he turned back to the female. "Dearly sorry Miss, she isn't one to take any sort of challenge with an degree less than seriousness" he explained sheepishly, shrugging slightly. Crouching down, he held his hand out to what he assumed was a cub, aware of the anger Cesarina was feeling inside to such an action. She had to realize that he wasn't disrespecting her when he touched something else.

Yuliya watched in puzzlement as the boy growled at the tiger and she noticed his tail...as if he was part animal or something. It saddened her that the tiger did not seem to be very fond of her but it was okay, it wasn't like she forced animals to be her friend, they could decide on their own. Just because she could talk to animals and generally calm them down didn't mean they always trusted her. She still preferred them to humans though, their motives were more easily understood and they usually didn't think she acted strange, though she knew she did.
She watched as Ember reached out to sniff the hand that was offered to him. Yuliya knew he could tell her a lot about him just by smelling him, so she awaited his verdict. “Seems safe,” he said, “the tiger I'm not so sure about. From what I can tell, they have some sort of connection.” Yuliya pondered over this information, but she didn't know much about other supernaturals or what he could be. The only ones she knew about were the common ones that grouped in large numbers like vampires or werewolves or telepaths. But she knew there were many rare species, some only represented by one member at this camp, like her brother.
Yuliya turned her head to shuffle through the messenger bag on her shoulder and find a can of tuna as Ember turned back and wove himself among her feet. She hoped it would be seen as a gift and not an insult, but it was always harder to tell with larger animals. She noticed the larger an animal, the more dignified they were and more easily insulted they were. But she could at least try. “Would she like this?” she asked in a wavering voice, handing the can out to the boy, thinking he would know better and knowing she probably shouldn't approach the feline, not until she could prove herself trustworthy.

Calix was pleasantly surprised by the sudden offering. Gently taking the can, his tail swayed in happiness. It was more than rare that anyone was kind to his brute of a tigress. Smiling his thanks, he tried to think of something to give in return. "She will gladly accept it" he stated softly, smiling kindly at the human girl. It was incredibly rare to find someone so kind and giving. Turning his head, he glared daggars at his tigress. "She will accept it with grace and kindness one would expect from a regal siberian tiger" he warned softly, the threat obvious in his voice.
Lifting her muscled form slowly, she moved forward. It was not the threat in his voice that made her move. More the fact that she is royalty and she must act as such. Setting herself down at her human's side, she began to speak. "Thank you, female, your gift is apreciated and accepted with joy" she said, her words coming out as snarls and growls and a few flicks of her long tail. To finish her speach, she lowered her head slightly.
The human seemed kind enough. Although she hated all humans as a rule. Unfortunately, while Calix would usually agree with her, he seemed against her. Did he know something about the female that she didn't. She would have to scold him for holding back information. Calix had such a thick skull at times. To think, he spoke as if she was the one in the wrong. This female and her cubs had been the ones to attack poor Calix. They were just lucky that he had taken pity on them. Weaklings. Lifting her head tall once more, she looked at the female. Her jaws parting, her warning snarl rippled forth her anger obvious "If you and your cubs ever dare attack my Calix again, I will destroy you and your children".
Although, he was used to Cesarina's strange assumptions, his jaw nearly hit the floor as he listened. What a foolish feline. She though he was being attacked! The girl had merely tripped. She was more afraid of them than he was of her. "Cesarina, she wasn't attacking me you blind fool, I frightened her and she fell. Don't jump to conclussions so quickly you quirky cat" he scolded. He purposely used Cesarina's most hated petname, quirky cat. She despised both words.
Turning back to the female human, he smiled brightly, whispering "wait here". Dropping the can at Cesarina's claws, he nearly laughed when he realized her paw was nearly triple the can. She had gotten so big without him realizing. Raising himself to his feet, he dashed back to his vacant tree. Collecting his finished drawing, he brought it back to the human. Sitting back down beside Cesarina, he reached the paper out toward her. "Father always said, give a gift to reseive a gift. So here is the only thing I can give you, for your kindness to my best friend" he urged politely. Secretly hoping that she enjoyed his artwork.

Yuliya nodded at the tiger's words, thankful that she was accepting the gift, though she was confused about her words of attacking. She'd attacked...Calix? Who was Calix? Was Calix the boy? That was what made the most sense...but she hadn't attacked anyone...and she definitely didn't want...children? Did she mean Ember and Coconut? She never thought of them as children, that would imply she had control over them and that she knew best, when she knew she didn't. She could be clueless compared to them. She thought of them as close friends, or even as siblings. But whatever they were to her, she definitely didn't want them destroyed. They were the only contact she had other than her brother, losing them would be losing the family that had made this place bearable.
Her eyes widened with surprise as he handed the paper towards her. She didn't know what else to do so she took it lightly and stared at the drawing on it, which she recognized instantly. She had to recognize foxglove, because it was poisonous to horses, and she had to make sure none of her horses accidentally snatched some as an afternoon snack. But she still loved the flowers. She remembered coming home from her first day of pre-school, where she had been teased because she already knew how to read and write at the age of three, and finding her six-year-old brother Amri, and him saying they would go outside and play. She wanted to build fairy houses and Amri went around the whole garden to find sticks and she collected flowers, and she had come across a foxglove flower and realized they would make perfect hats for fairies. And when she looked inside the flowers, she even thought she could see the tiny fingerprints of fairies.
A rare smile came to her face at the memory and she looked up from the drawing, trying to find the words she was supposed to say. “Th...thank you,” she said nervously, eyes quickly dropping back to the ground. Ember was also starting to get nervous. As brave as he was he knew the only result of a fight between him and...Cesarina? What a pretty name. Well, the only result of a fight between them would be him getting eaten. Yuliya knew Cesarina wasn't a big fan of her and she wasn't going to try and correct the assumption that she had attacked Calix, it would only make her angrier at her. “P-Perhaps I should go...” she said as she turned back slightly.

An odd spark of anxiety ran through his body at the thought of her leaving. Although one to enjoy his own company, he didn't want her to go. She was a delightful little being with beautiful little cubs. Frowning softly, he tried to figure one the words that would calm her. Sometimes Cesarina was far too brash about such delicate matters. It didn't help that he hadn't had much human contact at all since he was 13 years old. Of course, at least he TRIED. Which was more to say than Cesarina. A sigh left his lips, as he turned his head to hide his disappointment.
Realizing what was happening with her human, Cesarina felt a pang of guilt. She shouldn't be feeling such a way, she was protecting him. But it was still there. Moving closer to Calix, she pressed her forehead against his arm, and kept up a steady rumbling purr. The way a mother would soothe her cub. She honestly hated when Calix was upset. It hurt her more deeply than any physical wound ever could. The fact that she had caused it, made it that much worse.
Turning her attention to the female human, she let out a sigh of defeat. She didn't why this human mattered, but Calix wanted her company. So he would have her company. Not to mention, the closer to the female she was, the calmer she felt. Turning her orange orbs upon her 'ferocious' cub, she glared at it. "Listen child" she snapped, to get its attention. Once she gained its audience, her voice lowered and became more soothing. " I will not hurt you or your mother, step away and stop challenging me, I have more important things to worry about" she told the cub, in her soft but demanding 'soothing' voice. Looking at the human female, she stepped over the oddly colored cub. Coming face to face with the female. Sitting back on her haunches, she looked at the female for a few long moments. Lifting an enormous paw, she gently placed it upon the humans nearest limb. As she had seen humans do. Another soothing action coming from a killer, it felt so weird. " Listen female. I don't know why, but my Calix enjoys your company. Your not going anywhere" she said in a low whisper. She didn't want Calix to hear. This could ruin her reputation. For some reason, being closer to the girl seemed to make the anger disapate from her gorgeous form. Attempting a soft purr to reasure the human, she pulled her paw off the girl. In a last ditch effort to become something close to friends, she lowered her head and attempted to but her forehead against the humans.
Surprise filled him once more. Cesarina was always full of surprises. A smile broke out over his lips as he seen her try to but her head against the girl's. Cesarina was trying, for him. What a wonderful friend. She would step passed her pride to make him happy. He could ask for a better friend. "Please don't go" he urged, not aware Cesarina had said anything to the human.

She was wondering if she really should stay when she butted her forehead against her. A smile came to her face and she knew she shouldn't leave now. She was managing to gain some trust from the tiger, and the boy wanted her to stay...that was a first. People never wanted her to stay, they wanted her to leave because she made them feel awkward and strange. Rather than having normal conversations about the weather or sports of what was on TV last night she asked people whether Captain Cook was really a product of the enlightenment or what they thought the Crusades really accomplished and if it shifted the power from the Muslims to the Christians of medieval Europe. Either that or she asked people their interpretation of the lines of Lord Byron's “Fare Thee Well”: “Though my many faults defaced me,/Could no other arm be found,/Than the one which once embraced me,/To inflict a cureless wound?" But no one else seemed to know about Lord Byron or his poems.
Coconut, who had previously been fearfully sitting on Yuliya's shoulder, leaped off of her and started running around in glee, always thankful that there was no longer a threat of not being killed. Yuliya was less confident though, for although she had decided she would stay, she didn't really know what to say. Of course the first thing that came to her mind was the poetry of Lord Byron but experience had told her that was not a wise way to go. Instead she looked at the drawing in her hand again, and then looked back up at Calix. He had blue eyes like her brother, but he was not blue...he seemed...orange, though it was possible he wasn't orange at all and she just thought so because of the predominant orange of the tiger. “Did...did you draw...this?” she asked.

Apperently the girl had chosen to stay, this was nice. Calix rarely got to talk to anyone, because of a grouchy tiger. Maybe, just maybe, they could be friends. A friend in a place like this, was something he hadn't considered. This place was like jail. Everyone that was here had to have done something bad. But this innocent flower, with the beautiful bright eyes, there was no way she could have done something horrid. Her eyes too wide and innocent, he doubted that she had seen half of the dangers most kids have seen. Too young, too innocent. She was like a breath of fresh air in a room filled with smoke. Eyes widening slightly, he turned and grabbed his notebook, qyickly writing down that thought, it would make a great lyric. He had a feeling, while being near this girl, he would have a lot of lyric muse.
For once, Cesarina wasn't paying any attention to her dear human's actions. The females cubs were far more interesting to watch. Although so small, they both had personalities, which was odd for young cubs. At least to her knowledge. But things just kept getting weirder from there. The cubs looked nothing like the human. They had to even be different species because tgeir scents were so off. But if they weren't the girls cubs, why were they with her.
Grunting in confusion, she turned to watch and analyze the cubs. Dropping to the cold before the human, she rested her side against the female. She was decent enouggh. She had a calm aura that calmed things around her. She was trustworthy, for now. But her cubs were a different story. She was wary of tgeir conflicting personalities. "What are they?" Cesarina finally questioned, cranning her massive head to look at the female human. She was not yet ready to show her stomack to her weird cubs. Their small jaws had no way to close around her throat so she wasn't worried about that.
"Yes, I did draw it, miss" He answered with a bright smile. Opening his notebook to a new page as he began to draw once again. Knowing she probably wouldn't understand the words, he decided to explain. "The translation for the words are: Inside the little rind of this weak flower, there is both a powerful poison and a powerful medicine. If you smell it, you feel good all over. But if you taste it, you die. There are two opposite elements in everything, in man as well as in herbs, good and evil". Smiling softly at how quickly the beautiful translation came to his mind, he turned back to his drawing. "If you want, I can write your name on it, although you would have to give me your name first" he gently urged, curious.

Yuliya was confused by Cesarina's question. What are they? Ember and Coconut? Did she mean what species they were? Or what they were to Yuliya? Well there was no harm in answering both questions. “They are a fox and a squirrel. His name is Ember and her name is Coconut, they are my friends,” she said. She guessed maybe Cesarina didn't understand why animals that weren't directly connected to her would want to hang around a human. Some animals were wary of that and found it hard to believe. Every once in awhile one of her animal companions was given a hard time for hanging around a human, but she supposed they liked her, and she took care of them the best she could. “They will not hurt you,” she added.
Yuliya sat down and wrapped her arms around her legs, resting her chin on her arms to watch him draw. She admired it. She had tried drawing once and it had been a miserable failure. Her hand could never recreate whatever picture was in her head. She kept to her writing and banjo-playing, though it wasn't like she shared either of those with anyone other than Amri either, but at least she was more confident in those areas. Not that her writing was the kind of writing other people would want to read, it was apparently too weird.
“Oh,” she said softly when he said her could write her name on it and she handed the drawing back towards him, but again come her usual dilemma when someone asked her her name. Her grandmother and parents called her Zorya. Amri called her Willow. Ember and Coconut called her Little Albatross. Sometimes it felt like she had too many names, but eventually she came to the one she knew she was supposed to give, the name that was on top of all of the doctor forms. “My name is Yuliya.” Her voice was very small as she said it and she buried her head in her arms afterwards, feeling overexposed when a thought came to her and she could not stop herself from voicing it, it came so sudden. “Could you draw a sunflower?” she found herself asking. She missed the sunflowers, she missed them terribly. Maybe a drawing could help her feel better.

Calix smiled brightly as he took the paper back from her. Quickly writing his name in the corner, as an artist should. Turning the page over, he quickly began writing. "For Miss Yuliya, remember as you learn to fly, be the one you love... Your newest friend, Calix & Cesarina". Smiling as he felt this was an appropiate and aspiring note for the sweet girl, he reached out to pass the paper back. "If you really like my drawings, I will be glad to take requests Miss Yuliya" he offered quietly. From what his father had told him, friends did things to make their friends happy. Thats what he wanted. Calix wanted to be friends with Yuliya.
Blinking in confusion at her request, he had to think for a second. As if his working mind was snapping into motion, his smile brightened. Pausing in his attempts to draw the scene, he began flipping through the notebook. He always kept his drawings, unless he found someone who would actually enjoy them. Miss Yuliya seemed the type that could actually enjoy his artwork. Smirking happily, as he found the picture, he ripped it from the notebook. "I drew this a while ago" he said with a shy smile. The picture was a nice one. One of the very few that he actually bothered to color. A single bright yellow sunflower stood by itself upon a hill. The blackness of night was around the edge of the page, even the grass at the sides were dark. The sun flower seemed to be working as the sun itself. The sun flower shined as if the light came from inside it, to scare the night to the edges of the page. Turning it over, he quickly scrawled "Dear Yuliya, I hope this will brighten even your darkest night". Blushing shyly, he finally handed the paper to his new friend.
Cesarina pulled her lips back at the humans last comment. "Obviously, I'm far stronger than either could ever wish to be" she snarled. As if to make her point, she rolled her muscles forward, rising to her massive paws. Moving forward, she glared at the one called a fox. How dare that human even ASSUME she was wary of a mere cub. Snorting in her haughty way, her eyes scanned for the one called squirrel. Her eyes narrowing as she caught sight of it, she dropped her body down. Taking on a predators stance. Inching forward slowly, her slick jaws parted, her breathing becoming heavier. Stalking forward, her body seemed to twitch with anticipation.
A grunt running through her jaws, she pounced forward. Although looking as if to deliver a fatal blow, her paw pulled back. With a swift bat, she aimed to roll the squirrel onto its back. Gruning in fruatration, she aimed to keep her massive paw on top of it, to keep it still. Leaning down with her lips pulled back, she snorted softly as she inhaled the animals scent. She merely stared at the creature for a moment. Not moving, she merely stared down at it. Finally she let her tongue fall out. As if it was her own cub, she dragged her tongue over the tiny cub. So soft and sweet. Although she had planned to devour it, she couldn't now. Not a cub.

Yuliya looked at the new drawing he handed her with bright eyes, taking in the detail like she was reading a good book. It wasn't a field of sunflowers like the fields that blanketed the countryside that was her home, but it still brought her back home. She could look at it in the middle of the night, when she was alone because Amri was asleep and she had insomnia and she would feel a little bit better, it was a wonderful thing to have, and this way she could show Ember and Coconut what a sunflower even was, for neither of them had ever seen one, and it was hard to do a sunflower justice in only explanation. She could even show Amri this drawing of a sunflower and he could be reminded of home too.
Wait...Amri, no she couldn't. He would ask her where it had come from and she couldn't tell him that, otherwise he would find Calix and kill him, and she didn't want that, he'd given her a sunflower. He could never find out she'd left the camp and he could never find out about him. She'd have to hide the drawings and only take them out at night. She hated keeping secrets from Amri, it seemed wrong because he was always there for her and always told her the truth, but at the same time she knew he would jump to conclusions and kill anyone who had talked to her and she knew Calix didn't deserve death.
Her eyes darted downwards and avoided him, wondering what she should say. It was odd for a person to be this nice to her, and it was rather unnerving. She thrived on routine and tradition and so far he was breaking all of them. He hadn't even made fun of her for stuttering and speaking slowly. It was kind of like being with Amri except without all of the shared experience and mutual trust. But it made her feel strange, like it wasn't something she was supposed to do, like she was wrong and her doctors would've told her she needed to start over again. It was confusing and hard and everything was swirling and she was trying to think of the right way to say something but of course all she could think about was colors, there was always colors, colors invaded her mind and told her what they were. She accidentally said “Orange,” because that was the color she thought he was.
Embarrassed, she turned in the other direction and said, “They are pretty,” and tried to hide her face. She couldn't pretend she was talking about the sunflower because sunflowers were yellow. Instead she found comfort in the fact that Cesarina was being affectionate towards Coconut. The squirrel seemed a bit surprised at the sudden interruption of her space but the one thing she was an expert on was being adorable so she licked the tiger's nose and then flopped on her back again.

"Orange?" he mimickec in genuine confusion. Hadn't she seen a sunflower before? They were all yellow, weren't they? Maybe he had colored the picture with te wrong color? No, impossible, he had spent days on that drawing, he would have noticed. His orbs scanned the surrounding area, landing on the little fox. Not exactly orange. Soon, his eyes trailed to Cesarina and the furry little squirrel. Not orange. Wait, Cesarina! Orange and black was her prominent colors. That must be what this girl- Yuliya -meant. His ever presant smile widened. Cesarina was the most beautiful Siberian Tigress in the world. He was proud to be her companion and soul mate. His tail began swaying behind him as he watched his dearest friend. His tail! That was orange (and black) as well!
With practised ease, he let his tail curl around his knees. The last five inchs twitching with happiness. Most considered him a freak because of it. This female -Yuliya, he must call her Yuliya- was kind and accepting. Picking up his notebook again, his pencil began scratching across the paper. Although his eyes were on the paper, his tail slowly uncurled to gently try to bat against Yuliya's nearest limb. An action of friendship in the tiger-world. One he knew Cesarina wouldn't miss.
Lifting her muzzle from the cub, the thing called squirrel. She should just eat it and be done with it. But no, her stupid motherly instinct wouldn't allow that. They furry thing was far to much like a helpless cub for her to destroy it. No, she felt an odd kind protectiveness over the thing. Letting her purr rumble loudly through her, she bowed her crown down once more. Nuzzling the soft tender belly of the silly, nose-licking creature. She wouldn't let any predator ever sink their fangs into the soft flesh of this cub's belly. She would protect this little cub.
Her yellow eyes dance to the human. This cub held fondness for the human. She would tell this human to protect this cub, in her place, for she knew the cub wouldn't leave the human's side. Nor would she ask it too. She assumed their bond was like the one her and Calix shared, but not the same, nothing could match their bond. She would have to find if this cub had a mother, if not, she would become its mother. Even if that meant becoming trustful of the human female.
Orbs widened in surprise as she watched Calix -her Calix-'s tail attempt to tap against the female. In the wild, she would assume Calix wanted her as a mate, but, no,she kne Calix better than that. She knew he only wanted to be the girl's friend. He was afteralll, Cesarina's Calix. He would never claim a mate without asking her. It was strange enough for him to claim a friend without asking her. "You claim this.... Human.... As your friend Calix? Why?" she demanded. Worry, insult and disbelief mixed in her voice. Her voice once more turning cruel, she turned her attention upon the human. "He is mine, you understand? But for unknown reasons you make him happy. If you ever DARE to not make him happy, I'll rip you limb from limb and take your coconut as my own" she snarled. It never crossed her mind that either Yuliya or Coconut would have a choice in the matter.
