How did you get your Alias?

Some people have many different reasons for having their Alias, and some of us have decently cool stories behind them.

I got my Alias from my Warrior's name-Goldenfur. As I continued to roleplay it got shorter and shorter. Golden, Goldyfur, Goldyfish, Golds, until I finally stuck with Goldy-cause it's the cutest and describes me the best (I believe)

So where did you get your Alias?

So one day, I was trying to decide what to name my character. I'm Ukrainian, so I decided to find out what the Ukrainian version of my name was, and it was Yuliya. I liked it, so I chose it. I'd had a few other aliases, but I liked Yuliya best. (My past aliases have been horsegirl47, Atariel, Spirit, and Unicorn Spirit.)

In 6th grade, I met my best friend, who had the same name as mine. Because of this, me, her, and our other best friend decided to choose new names for all of us. She became Lia, our other best friend became Nari, and because of my character, they decided I'd be Yuliya.

Then I decided that when I went to high school, I wanted to have a different name from my regular name cause my regular name is pretty common and I didn't want to have another instance of having people in the same class with my name. The obvious choice was Yuliya. So now all my friends call me Yuliya.

So yeah...I was named after my character, not the other way around.

That's so fun, Yules! And Goldy, I was on a roleplay for Warriors for about five years a while back. My name there was Dreamheart (and later Cetha due to a rather long conversation with the other nine members).

In any case, my name Starflower wasn't even chosen by me. My mom was on a LOTR board (actually she was the admin) and when I was really little she always referred to me as Starflower when telling the people on her board about me. In Lord of the Rings there is a starflower whose name is the same pronunciation as my real name. Sometimes I use the name Cetha(my Gaia Online username) or Runforthestairs(my DeviantArt username) but normally I use Starflower or Hoshi no Hana which means "Flower of the Stars" in Japanese.
