So I got thinking Witches or Warlocks so on all have magic But theirs a variation of kinds. So on here I wanted to give a list of different kinds and what they pertain to. Cause Really their is no limit to what they can do right now since it just says theirs magic. And We had a issue like this some what with the telekinises ability. So wanted to bring it up. 
So below is a list of the diffirent types of magic that I know of and what each one is and can do. Since most magic people have a specialty in one certain area of magic. And it kind of limits them as well.
Okay lets do this
Blood magic- Is a magic that requires one to give blood to use and normally is used in bad ways to cause pain and destruction though it can also be used to help as well. Blood magic users normally have to be from a blood line, they control some healing and are normally known as necromancers Because they can summon the dead, But to do so also requires some kind of sacrafice such as blood which is why its known as blood magic. It is also extremely hard to control fully unless one is well practiced with it.
Elemental magic- Speaks for itself these witches can summon small storms lightning make it rain a little and things like that. But no witch can use fire due to the simple fact fire is one major weakness. Magic of this sort though is normally simple to use and almost all witches can use at least a few basic spells of this nature. But only a slight few are potent enough to realy cause damage with it. Though none are as strong as an actual elemental.
Black Magic- normally this deals with curses and shadow calling. Its bad magic since most who use it are evil and only want to hurt others. Under this magic is voodoo plaques curses and things like that. And normally requires a chant or some kind of idol to make it work.
White Magic- Also known as healers are the magic users that harness powers to heal others, from illnesses or bad wounds. This magic is normally channeled through touch. It does not require any idol or chant, But for some spells certain runes are required mainly on advanced spells such as healing some one who is near death.
Trickery: All witches or warlocks have this magic, it simply is making objects move slightly or do things like dance. It can only be used on small objects. Also it can be used to summon things nothing big but normally things such as small animals food and flowers. It over all is harmless and is only good for show. Much like one see's at a magic show.
Alchemy: Not like the idea of turning silver to gold No more like the kind in the t.v show. This magic yes its magic uses special runes and cantations to change objects from one thing into another. Such as turning a flower into a knife. Or a hose into a large snake. Its not normally hard to control though takes some knowledge. Very few can use this magic through simple touch.
Summoning Magi- Is one of the rarest magics known because most summoners are females and have long been gone. Though those who do exist use large runes and rituals to summon strange yet powerful creatures. That they can control.
Void Magic- A magic to control time from black holes to teleportation. Its a magic where one can either use idols such as wands staffs and such, cantations or just their minds. These kinds of magic users normally are tricky and prefer to stay hidden. Since they can move around in the blink of an eye.
Side Note: The idea's of potions is unknown, love potions and strange elixers fit under no certain type of magic and some witches and warlocks do know how to craft such things.
thats really all I can think off.. but yeah just a idea can add to or what not. just thought it would help a bit so no magic user can be way over powered.
