Appearance:

Yuliya could be described as sickly. She is small and has barely any mass on her body. She had some muscles due to her horseback riding before she came here, but she isn't very strong. Her long hair is light and slightly wavy and curly, so she often looks like a ghost in the distance.

History:

Vivek and Chiye Dukhkin' were a wealthy young couple who lived out in the country of Ukraine and were not often bothered by the outside world, and as such, the war didn't affect them there. They were the proud parents of a strong young boy named Amri, and three years later, they had their daughter, Yuliya.

But Yuliya was very strange. She read books like mad and didn't interact like normal. She had fits and obsessively cleaned and organized her room, even at a young age. People scared her and she spent most of her time with animal, whom she seemed to have a strong connection to. Her parents finally took her to many doctors, and she was diagnosed with autism, obsessive compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, and social anxiety. Yuliya spent much of her childhood with doctors and psychologists and she was always trying different medications. She rarely attempted actually going to school and when she did she was bullied terribly. She didn't know it, but her parents were ashamed of her and would lock her in back rooms when they had parties and didn't tell even some of their close friends they they even had a daughter. Yuliya spent almost all of her time reading or writing or spending time with animals.

At the age of 11, she was sent to live with her grandmother. But she hated it there and her grandmother was quite cruel to her and said she was a useless child and that Chiye should've had an abortion. But when she was 14, her older brother came and stole her back and brought her home.

Unknowingly, she had spent her whole life under his protection, as he constantly fought with their parents to treat her better. He was her only friend and he would take revenge on everyone who was mean to her. But when her parents found out about the camp, they decided to send her there even though they didn't really know if she was a supernatural or not, they just wanted to get rid of her. Her older brother insisted on coming with her.

Why they were convicted:

Her parents wanted to get rid of her so they sent her to be tested and she was indeed a supernatural, Amri still thinks that there was a mishap and believes she isn't a supernatural

Life in the Camp:

Yuliya and her brother live as nomads. They dart around, making temporary overnight camps, avoiding everyone, and scouraging for food. They make friends with no one and avoid the gangs at all cost.

Personality:

Yuliya Dukhkin' is someone on the outside, a rubix cube in a world of puzzles. To anyone passing by, she is a shadow surrounded by animals who passes off into the distance without stopping to look back. Her most outstanding feature is that she doesn't like the company of humans. It really is because she doesn't know how to act around them. They confuse and and make her scared. Once she knows a person thoroughly, she can be charming and actually pleasant to be around, but hardly anyone has tried to get to know her long enough for this. She is a very intuitive person, and performs actions based on her emotions more, which often means she does very stupid things.

She is extremely secretive, and never tells anyone about her past. She is like this because she hates to feel like someone else in control, and especially that they are in control of her. She finds it hard to trust people because she always thinks they will abuse it. She is passionate about the things she loves, the formost of which being animals. She loves all animals, especially horses, with a deep passion that rules over her entire life. On top of all of this, though, is a deep desire to be free from everything, and to live without looking back.

Skills:

1.) Horseback riding - Yuliya has been taught as a Cossack how to ride, which is more than just how to control a horse, she's knows how to connect with a horse and become one, so that instead of making the horse do what you want, what both of you want is the same.
2.) Animals - Yuliya has a bit of a knack for animals, including calming them down and getting them to trust her.
3.) Writing - She has a talent for finding words that go together to make something beautiful, if only she had the paper to write it down on...

Weaknesses:

Shy/Social Anxiety: Yuliya finds it very hard to meet new people and to be able to communicate with them. She finds herself looking to the ground and for ways to end conversations early without even telling people her name

Autism/Synesthesia: Yuliya sees the world around her in a very different way, she sees people as colors and overanalyzes things like touch and speech.

OCD: There are many little things that drive Yuliya crazy that she has to fix or she can't think straight.

Borderline Personality Disorder: This disorder causes Yuliya to make impulsive acts, have chaotic relationships, and a frantic effort to avoid real and imagined abandonment. She has an unstable mood and self-image and some self-harming tendancies, along with a chronic feeling of emptiness.

Distrusting: Under no circumstances does Yuliya trust anyone. She will NEVER put her life or the lives of those she holds dear in another person's hand. As such, she takes everything on herself even when she knows she cannot handle it because she believes that herself overworked is better than a person with nothing else to do any day. Even people she has known for years are not given the honor of holding her trust. It takes a person several encounters to even hear her give her true name.

Can't Express Her Feelings: Yuliya has absolutely no idea how to healthily express her feelings. When angry, she can take it out on herself or people she loves that has nothing to do with it. When disappointed she will harbor long-lasting resentment and use it later in the future. Even when happy she can find a way to express it wrongfully, by throwing herself into that happiness and forgetting everything else that she should be doing.

Nervous/Paranoid: Due to her autism, Yuliya is extremely nervous, like a scared animal. It takes a lot to reassure her that it;s okay to be off her guard.

Prone to Jealousy: Yuliya can get jealous very easily because there are not many things she can claim as her own. She is especially possessive of her brother.

Obsessive: If Yuliya finds something that catches her fancy, whether it be a positive or negative feeling, she will not let it go until she has acted on it in some way. She will think about nothing else and let it control her whole being and give everything else important a back seat.

Nosy: If she finds something she needs to know, she NEEDS to know it and will not let go until it has been found out, even if it has nothing to do with her and she has been told she would be better off not knowing. She can't help but continue to poke and prod until she is sure that she knows every secret that has come across her.

Insomniac: Yuliya has never ever been able to sleep very well. she either can't fall asleep or she wakes up constantly. Sometimes taking pills and such helps, but only occasionally does it do anything.

Partial Hydrophobia/Fear of Seaweed: Yuliya is scared of water that goes over her waist, especially if she cannot see through it. When in this situation, she cannot think straight enough to swim to shore(Nor would she know how), she instead, quite frankly, freaks. This is doubled when she also sees seaweed in the water for she is certain that it will try to grab her and then pull her down.

Faint: By this, I mean Yuliya faints a lot. She has very low blood sugar and is rather sensitive to stressful or uncomfortable situations. Her small body can't handle it, so she faints quite a bit.

Interesting Factoids:

1. She never uses contractions in her speech (Like can't, I'm, won't)
2. She labels people as different colors (For example, Amri is blue, her father is red, and her mother is green)
3. She bend her fingers backwards
4. She is a tetrachromat, meaning she has four cones in her eyes for seeing colors as opposed to the regular three, so she can see colors that don't exist for other people

Possessions:

The only thing that is really hers is a locket shaped like on egg with a horse etched on the outside with an eye of moonstone. She keeps a lock of her horse's mane inside.
