Despite her attractive figure which many girls would kill to have, Daphne likes to wear loose button-up shirts with jeans. She does not like to show off her body and is fairly modest, never letting her neckline show much cleavage. She wears a pair of old black tennis shoes which are beginning to need repairing or replacement. Her bright colored hair is normally left down but when she is working or on hot days she will putt it back into a high pony-tail.

Appearance:

Daphne is a beautiful woman with a strikingly good hour-glass figure. She has fair skin with light-pink cheeks and full red lips. Never the less she cares little about her own appearance and thus will rarely wear form-fitting clothes, never wears make-up, and only brushes her red hair once a day in the morning. She carries herself with an air of untouchability, neither stand-offish or weak. Due to spending most of her time working with technology she is not as strong as most of the inmates, but can defend herself well enough if places in danger.

History:

---------Daphne was born as the first of two children, her younger brother Garret being the second by two years. Their mother was a human while their father a technopath. While his powers passed fully on to Daphne, Garret was left with only a mild affinity for technology. Daphne was never a social girl. She preferred to stay at home and work on her computers than attend the parties and festivals her brother loved so much. She learned quickly and was never short on ideas for new programs or upgrades.
---------Through fifth grade Daphne was home-schooled. When she was twelve she began attending classes at a prestigious highschool which was in a way like an early college, letting students specialize in certain areas with only minimum requirements for other classes. Looking a bit older than her age, she attracted the eyes of some of the freshmen boys but despite being asked out on dates continuously, she always brushed them off, preferring her computers to their company. In a way she was seen as an ice queen, a technology-obsessed ice queen at that. She was the best student in the school when it came to the technological and mathematical field, but her GPA dropped due to her lack of interest in the other required classes.
---------Shortly before her thirteenth birthday, Daphne took an interest in hacking. She started small with her brother's computer and the databases of the school. Her ability to communicate clearly with computers gave her an edge on the humans. When she began hacking into the CIA and FBI databases, things began to get messy. She never stole anything or changed anything, but she always left a present. Her little "gifts" were not harmful but the idea that a fifteen-year-old girl was capable of getting in, setting up an animation of a kitten running across their screen, and getting out without a trace was hardly settling. When they eventually found her after her eighth infiltration, she was given a warning, to stay out of their databases. She did not heed it and thought that she just needed to improve on her traceless entries and exits. When they caught her again after ten more infiltrations, she was taken to the newly opened Sangvene.
---------Daphne was on her own for one year. She was not close with the other inmates or guards. Even when the uprising happened she stayed out of matters, not wanting to get caught up in the mess which followed. Despite her attempts to stay disconnected, seeing so many children massacred like that, their blood spread across the ground like paint, was enough to make even a girl like her feel sick. Over the years she became more jaded to the violence but the images of the days of the uprising would still come back to haunt her from time to time. On her second year she met a man named Tony. At first she gave him the same cold shoulder she gave everyone but eventually they found their way to being friends of sorts. When Tony founded the Rebellion, she was quick to join, ever staying in the background but always giving him her full support.

Why they were convicted:

She hacked into the FBI database seven times and the CIA database eleven times despite being warned against it.

Life in the Camp:

Daphne is not exactly sociable and mostly spends her time with her computers or with Tony who is the only reason she a member of the Rebellion rather than Alliance. In the library she has a small room which used to be a storage closet where she keeps all of her technology as well as a generator which she has kept running since back when the camp was new and they were actually given some of the things they needed or wanted and for her that was electronics. Anything new was stolen from the Alliance or Night Walkers or was scrounged up.

Personality:

Daphne is an anti-social introvert. She does not like having a lot of attention and prefers to be left alone the majority of the time. What irritates her the most is when people interrupt her while she is working. While she is not intentionally cruel, she sometimes unintentionally hurts people's feelings by brushing them off or snapping at them if they caught her at a bad moment. Though she is quite, not speaking to humans unless she must, she is surprisingly communicative in her body language and expressions, most commonly telling people to leave her alone. She is fairly content with her life but wishes to get out of the camp one day and hopes that when she 'disappears' on her twentieth birthday it will be a change for the better. Though she seems like quite the ice queen, Daph does have some friends. It takes a while for someone to figure out that how she treats her friends can sometimes be just as cold as how she treats everyone else. When it comes to matters of the heart, she has no use for any of it. The thought of romance does not interest her and whenever anyone tries to flirt with her she will merely brush them off. She is unfazed by seduction-inducing beings, doesn't blink an eye if she sees two people making out, and could care less if she went her whole life without having dated a single man so long as she has her computers. Never the less, she does have a soft spot for Tony and, when it comes down to it, loves him in her own way.

- Sometimes she has nightmares of the uprising at Sangvene.
- Though she has good hands, most of her body is physically quite weak leaving her open to being easily over-powered by the majority of the inmates at Sangvene.
- She is allergic to dogs.

- When none is around, sometimes Daphne will sing and dance to the music she listens to.
- She has a habit of naming all of her tech; her generator is Rimmer, her main computer Quip, and her gun Samet.

Possessions:

Daphne has a small room in the library full of her belongings and technology. She also has several changes of clothes and a few odd bits of this and that she picked up over the years. There is one crate hidden in her storage-closet-tuned-lab which has nonperishable foods for emergency back-up.

Other:

If it were not for Tony, Daphne would be a member of the Alliance simply because she would like access to more tech and would like to not have to stress out about finding food.
