Magical people usually develop some of their powers around age seven, but cannot do anything worth doing until age twelve.

Magical people tend to live away from humans, preferring their own kind to humans. Many of them live in Amish communities to keep out pesky humans.

History:

Magical people have always been very educated on the facts of other supernatural species. They, like werewolves, tend to stray away from humans and live in their own communities.

Black Magic

Any magic used to cause harm and frequently used for offensive moves. Electric strikes (the ability to cause an electric charge between one object and the witch, harming the object), hexes and anything of the sort is under the black magic category. Black magic is very difficult and is usually not able to be accomplished until the person in question is about fourteen. Truly evil witchcraft such as summoning demonic spirits or raising the dead is very difficult and requires decades of practice.

Neutral Magic

Neutral magic is about simply, neither offensive or defensive magic. It can be used in all sorts of ways. Generating energy, creating illusions as well as nature-related magic falls under this category. Neutral magic is the easiest at first-but many things (such as weather-related magic) is very difficult and can only be done in adulthood or late adolescence in very talented people.

White Magic

Any magic used for protection and healing is considered white magic. Lifting hexes and healing wounds as well as banishing evil falls under this category. This, like Black magic, is also very difficult and usually only able to be used about age twelve, and then only in small amounts.

Enchanting

Creating magical objects using series of (usually complicated) magical processes. This usually relates to magical alignments creating black magical objects, neutal magical objects and white magic objects. This is a very complex form of magic and should only be attempted by experts.

Alchemy

The use of mixing magical objects and incantations to create potions and certain types of 'enchanted' objects. This can deal with magical runes but this practice is rare, as many of these symbols have been lost through the ages.
