Appearance:

When you look at Quinn, you see a man who has given up taking care of himself. His hair is greasy and knotted, his odor smelly, his clothes dirty, and his hands callused. His face is almost always in a sneer.

History: Quinn was a boy who was born on the wrong side of the tracks to a single mother in a bad neighborhood of Chicago. His mother eventually married someone and Quinn hated his stepfather, though he was kinder to his three half-sisters. He never really had much of what he wanted and was bullied terribly, but he was smart and he strove to do well in school, and was the first of his family to go to college.

It was at college that he met a girl named Martha who had a history the complete opposite of him. She the youngest child of wealthy, loving parents, and not only was she smart, she was also popular. He fell very hard in love with her and proposed to her on the day they graduated.

Things were going well for Quinn. They eventually had a son named Elliott and they had a lovely house in one of the good neighborhoods of Chicago. Martha was a stay-at-home mom though she was also an artist and she was showing her art at galleries on the weekend. Quinn had run for governor and won.

That was when the supernatural war broke out. Elliott, who was 19 at the time, decided to serve his country by joining the army, and a few months later, they received a condolence letter from his commanding officer. Heartbroken, Martha decided to join the army as a nurse, and she was killed also. Quinn had never gotten over the grief of losing his family to the supernatural war, and if he can't be happy, he sure as hell won't let supernaturals be happy.

Quinn has always been one of the "hardass" guards. He does not give any supplies to the supernaturals, and does not cut anyone slack, not even the Night Walkers whom the guards are allied with. He takes his patrols seriously and will take any excuse to hand out consequences to supernaturals

Personality:

Quinn has grown cold over the years due to his hatred of supernaturals. He took the job with glee but it gives him no happiness. He hates any sort of talking back or joking around and sarcasm directed towards him, though he dishes out plenty of his own dry sarcasm. He's very cold and calculating, and always thinks very hard before he acts to ensure he is the one who comes out on top. He enjoys moving ahead but mostly because it means he can gloat.

Sadistic: Quinn is sadistic when it comes to punishments, as they are very cruel and unusual. He uses his own knowledge of pain to devise up the most horrible ways to cause a person to suffer
Bitter: Quinn does not find joy in many things. He doesn't laugh or smile, and only takes pleasure in seeing people he doesn't like suffer
Weak: Quinn has never been a very strong person. So though he is a good fighter, he could be easily pushing around by someone bigger than him.
Unforgiving: Quinn does not forgive people. His good opinion, once lost, is lost forever.
Quick to judge: Quinn comes quickly to conclusions about people and then rarely changes his opinion about them, even if they prove they are an entirely different person.
Impatient: Quinn does not like waiting. If he thinks something should happen, he wants it to happen now.
Temperamental: Quinn has a horrible temper. He lashes out angrily at the slightest provoction.
Takes out anger on wrong people: Even when Quinn knows that he is angry at someone else, he will take it out on all of of the wrong people, distancing himself from everyone he knows.
