Abilities:

-They can change from their human form into an animal. They can only speak the language of the form they are in, so if they are in say, bird form, they can only speak to other birds.

Weaknesses:

-Changing can cause pain in the nerves and muscles, it also drains energy pretty quickly. Young shifters can only change usually, once, maybe three times a day.
-Each shift is a new skill to them. Just because they can change into a wolf really easy doesn't mean they can change into a cat as easy. This is why typically shifters will have a small library of their favourite shifts and they stick to them.
