David wears the standard issue required uniform of the guards: black pants with a white cotton dress shirt and black combat boots for the feet. Over this, David generally wears a khaki trench coat. Usually his shirt is adorned with a black tie. Though he owns a dark brown fedora, he is hardly ever found actually wearing it.

Appearance:

David is built more lean than stocky but he is strong as one must be to be a guard in Sangvene. He has well defined jaws and fair skin. His blue-green eyes are curious but pain-filled and sad and if one were to stare into them for too long he might find himself brought to tears. His dark brown hair is wavy and matches his thick, but not bushy, eyebrows. His body is decorated with scars, a few smaller ones on his arms and legs and a fair sized one across his back.

History:

David grew up in Liverpool, England as an only child under the name Daniel Rowens. His father was a successful businessman while his mother stayed home to raise him. When he was seven, his father's company fell into debt with the wrong sort of people and when he couldn't pay it, they took his life. It was staged as a suicide and though the investigation eventually proved otherwise, his mother who had always been weak health-wise, died of grief. David went into the custody of his uncle who had two children of his own, one younger and one older than David. Favoring his own children and being short of funds, David lived with what he needed, nothing more, nothing less. When he was old enough he joined the SIS (Secret Intelligence Service). When the war hit his job became even more difficult and dangerous than he had been before. On year before the war ended he was forced to fake his death on a mission. A year later he was assigned to be a guard at Camp Sangvene under the new name David Chandler. His main objective was to keep an eye on the warden.

Life in the Camp:

Having been there since the beginning, David is one of the most trusted guards in Sangvene having access to all areas. Depending on the need of the moment he is called to different areas but when left to his own devices he will either be found with Aaron Stark in friendly conversation, or wandering the grounds. He is one of the most trusted and least trusted guards in Sangvene in the eyes of the inmates. He has never harmed a non-human aside from breaking up a fight or acting in self-defense but his closeness to the warden puts everyone on edge.

Personality:

David is a complex man who is difficult to boil down into words. He is the sort of man who even he himself does not quite understand everything about himself. Perhaps honour would come to mind when speaking of him in a positive light but at the same time one finds him hard to trust. He would seemingly risk his life for practically anyone's sake, however he has also stood by while people die before his eyes without so much as blinking. He is focused on his assigned purpose of being in the camp, but is never obvious about it and always seems to have another hidden agenda which even his superiors don't know about. He is a quiet man but a brilliant genius of a man all the same.

David owns several pairs of clothes as well as a large variety of state-of-the-art weaponry. Being a guard he has more possessions than most of the inmates but does not hoard them.
