Gavriel climbed down from the branch and frowned, turning to look at the forest and shuddering a bit. He wouldn't mention that he'd gotten into a bit of trouble with a werewolf earlier. That would probably just earn him another lecture and cause Eduard to want to pull them out of the forest entirely. Seriously though. Werewolves were so high-strung. All he'd wanted was that delicious looking bit of coney the guy had. What was wrong with that? The annoying thing was their sense of smell - he would have been able to easily nick it had the teenager not caught whiff of his scent. Gavriel was still mentally kicking himself for not thinking of getting out of the downwind and masking his scent. He should have learned this by now! He reluctantly followed Eduard, shifting into his kitten form because that was easier, more comfortable, and less conspicuous.
