A visit in the night? (Ava)

For four years now the small girl had stayed out of the sight of guards and student alike. She never allowed herself to be seen and never bothered with the fights and wars. Her game was easy she tricked those near her camp and killed them for food. But things where getting boring and she wanted some more fun. It was not something she should do but chaos was in her blood.

She awoke at night her eyes scanning the area as blood trickled down her cheeks. Rubbing her eyes she sighed softly and stretched to allow her body to wake up as well. The moon was almost full which was good since that meant the wolves where not to blood hungry yet. Though she did enjoy playing with them it was not her plan tonight. Instead she wanted to see what else their was to do outside of her little area.

It had been a long time now since she left he forest. And her plan was simple. She was going to play a little game with the vampires, Since they always seemed to be the ones awake at this time, And they where one of the only species here that was fun to play with. The rest where always so weak and annoying.

As she walked a sound from behind her caught her interest, Something was following her which was nothing new. She always found idiots in the forest who wanted something from her. Silly boys. She stopped and acted as though she had tripped and landed softly on her butt. With a fake frown she rubbed her knee and made a upset looking face.

It worked just how she thought it would. The male came close to her and thought it would be easy to take down such a small girl who looked so weak. As he grabbed her and tried to pin her the frown turned to a smirk. And she vanished. Appearing behind him she tapped his shoulder and then soon as he looked she was gone once more.

She continued this for a short time before appearing in-front of him she reached her hand forward and it went through his body as though he was a ghost. Once inside she squeezed his heart in his hand and smirked before he dropped dead. Pulling her hand back the bones shattered and blood landed on her flesh and clothing.

Rolling her eyes she dropped the heart and turned back towards the camp It did not take long for her to reach her destination. It was the school building a place known to keep the Night walkers. Looking at the building she decides to go inside. It seemed silent for a moment. Until a gang member decided it was right to stop her. Looking up at him she sighed and shook her head.

Before he could move she vanished and appeared behind him grabbing him just around the spinal cord she tore his flesh open and held him for a moment until he screamed. This of course upset her and caused her to toss his body roughly through the hall and into a wall.

It was no doubt now some one had to have herd the scream so she decided to just wait and see who would be next. So far all she had met was some weak guard and was not impressed by the groups abilities yet.

[AVA LYNCH]

Ava's room was probably one of the nicest looking rooms in the camp. Since she was stuck in there for many hours a day, and sleeping was boring to her-keeping her place pristine was nice. The office was rather plain looking, with beige walls and wood panel flooring. In the back was a black leather couch with a dark blanket folded nicely on the chair arm. She had a rather sleek desk with a nicely drawn map of the camp on the table and a on the side was a radio and a walkie-talkie. Everything was turned off at the moment, as Ava was leaning sideways on her chair, with her back to the arms and her legs over the other side.

She ran her fingers through her long blonde hair, turning back to her map with bored and almost frustrated eyes. She was trying to figure out how to send out enough patrols to span over most of the area. If you focused on one area, people noticed and avoided that area. She sighed as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back. She wore a simple black tank top and jean capris. As always, a black belt was tied loosely around her waist with a black handgun attached to it.

Suddenly there was a scream and a loud crash. She rolled her eyes, sighing "Frick, Rowan." as she grabbed her gun from her belt and also grabbed her walkie talkie. As she walked to the door she pressed the button and spoke, "This is Ava at schoolhouse. Standby for potential backup request situation. Over." she whispered, placing it on a shelf beside the door and holding her gun in a firing position before opening the door.

She saw a young girl, whom looked about... thirteen, fourteen maybe? She might have let her guard down if she wasn't covered in blood. What the hell was she? She wasn't a vampire, she knew that for sure. She could smell vampires a kilometre away, she shared a scent with them-didn't she? But her? She was something different. In fact her scent reminded her of her father's favourite liquor and it unsettled her. She narrowed her eyes and looked at the hole in the wall, "Wow, thanks. I didn't like that wall anyway." she said in her usual dry sarcasm.

Ava, of course, didn't dare let her guard down for a moment. She didn't know who or what she was-but she did know she was dangerous. If she was able, she knew she'd be able to call for backup and get a response of at least twenty vamps in only a few seconds-but would she even be able to get to her walkie talkie? She extended her hearing and scent around, though her scent still disturbed her-now being able to smell faint bits of her father's old cologne. What was going on here?

NOTES>> outfit. If you're confused at her references to her father-well the Animus is supposed to represent one's fears so I thought that It'd be appropriate.

Lili only enjoyed things for so long until she was bored once more, It was mainly due to the fact she was stuck in the mind set of a little girl yet. She acted much the same as she looked. After the killing of the one guard she only wanted more. She could smell the blood and it only made her all the more lustful for more.

As she was met by a young girl only a few years older looking then she was she smiled cheerful at her because of the comment made on the wall. And plus it was nice to finally see a vampire, How did she know? Well the smell and soul the other girl held was that of one. Being around for so many years often let one understand these things.

After the female spoke Lili tilted her head a bit and looked her over for a moment. The first thing she was was the pistol which really was strange. Before anything more could be said or done the small girl simply vanished as though she had never been their. It was nothing that would not be fixed shortly though. Appearing back behind Ava she looked at her and smiled before speaking.

"Your a vampire huh? hehe I wonder if your stronger though then the guard... Maybe... or maybe not... hmmm well first lets make this fair okay? "


Once again she vanished and appeared beside the gun and taking it from Ava, then vanishing once more. In this ideal of travel it would be hard to figure out where she was, Though even yet it was harder to figure out what it was she even wanted or why she was here. Appearing a few feet away she set the gun down on a small desk and smiled before walking towards Ava. She stopped only a foot back and extended a small hand.

"I like playing... so before we start my name is Lilith but you can call me Lili if you want... What is your name? "


She kept the innocent smile on her face, though her actual emotional state was blank she always seemed to smile even when she was in a rampage or killing. It seemed she was always happy, It as well was only part of being a child still in sense. Now that she was talking and gave time to see what she looked like it would be noticed that she wore rather plain clothing

She was dressed in simple clothes consisting of pajama pants and a t-shirt with pokemon on it. Why she was wearing this their was no clue but it was what she had found and actually fit her. It was kind of hard finding clothes that would fit her in this place since she was much smaller then most the others.

Ava narrowed her eyes slightly, hesitating to touch her. No gun, great. Then again, Ava wasn't sure if it'd even work on her anyway-so maybe it wasn't even a loss at all. Maybe, even, the girl wanted to distract her to get her gun back when it wouldn't work on her at all. There were a million things going through her head as she attempted to analyse the situation. Usually she could take these thoughts and easily sort them from true and false-but the memory of her father buzzed in her head as well and it made everything confusing. After a quick shake of her head she was able to make sense of it once again.

She cautiously took her hand loosely and shook it, not gripping but more... guiding. Only so that if she tried to pull her she'd be able to rip her hand away. "Avianna. But call me Ava, everyone does." she added, her voice nonchalant and casual. She didn't seem overly offensive at the moment, more like opposing teams greeting each other before a game. There was no harm in that, was there? Or was there? Great, confusion again.

"I can assure you, I am much stronger than-" she flicked her hand to the hole in the wall, "Rowan, here. He's new. I, on the other hand, am not quite as new." she gave a slight shrug and let her hand go, backing away a single step.

Lilith stared blankely at her as they shook hands. She though smiled and was rather happy to have found some one who might be more entertaining then others here. She knew she could easily mess with people and using their fears against them was something she rarely did. But this one was going to be different. She had never met a vampire that was not a new born. Which was strange since she was rather old herself.

"It is nice to meet you Ava... Maybe after If we live we can be friends... Well maybe.. And to make things fair I wont teleport. "

Stepping back a bit she looked around the area they where in, It was not huge but a good amount of space to move around a good deal. Looking back to Ava she smiled cheerfully and waited for the next move to be made. She never enjoyed making a quick attack since she never knew what an opponate could do. She knew vampires where alot like her though since they both had to feed to stay in good health.

Ava looked over her curiously, so she had to fight her. She wasn't exactly in the mood to spar at the moment, which was a strange thing for Ava to admit as it was one of her favourite activities, even if this girl suggested something a little more violent than a spar. But then again, she usually didn't like to put herself in situations that could get her spine ripped out of her body. And the creeping chill of pure fear also attempted to creep up her back. She could hear them. The voices that so commonly visited her dreams. little bitch the deep, distorted voice that was once her father growled in the back of her head, just like your little bitch mother.

"If I may ask, why do you feel the need to fight in the first place? We're two, intelligent supernaturals, aren't we? We don't need to try and rip each other apart." she said as she took a few steps away from Lili. She seemed to expect Ava to make the first move but Ava wasn't usually that type of fighter to attack first if she could help it-and tonight was absolutely no different. So she stood there, her muscles ready to react if she attacked her first.

Something was not right. Why was she getting stronger and stronger? What was it causing this vampire so much feer. And that when she figured it out. Unlike most supernaturals who either fed on food or blood she took fear and souls. And the more fear around her the more strong she grew which was why holding an ability to make peoples fears seem to come to life was so useful

She smirked at the little comment about not fighting. She could tell Ava was not in the mood and also was slightly scared to fight. Which only pushed Lili to want to mess with her more. Giving a soft nod she backed away a bit as she did Ava would see her father appear behind Lili and glare at her with cold eyes. And then would Speak. "Ava you stupid little bitch.. Always cowering and scared, Never can do anything right. Your worse then that worthless whore of a mother.. What you are is wasteful, your weak and pathetic. "

The tone and voice would fit perfectly and Lili only stood back idly waiting to see how far she could push the vampire until forcing her to fight or till she broke down. In any case it would make for a rather fun night. It was no wonder though that people hated her since she never really enjoyed being nice everything to her was a game and she only did what she wished to. Though it never helped that their was not a single person around to tell her stop or could force her to. At least not yet.

Ava's first reaction, the only reaction that was chopped down and filtered through her analytical concious, was dread. The nightmares that had plagued her for seven long years had seemingly just appeared before her eyes. Her nerves froze and her eyes widened in a rapid response. Her next reaction, the reaction was was chopped down and filtered through the most, was realization. Ava wasn't crazy, nor was she on a hallucinogenic. So there were two options, one)) her father really had been risen from the dead and had come back to hurt her once more or two)) this girl, the one named Lili, was creating him somehow. This seemed to give her a little comfort, at the idea that he wasn't actually there, that it was nothing more than her eyes playing tricks on her.

So, instead of letting herself get paralysed in fear, she grabbed her silver dagger, clutching it by the leather handle, and walked stright into the apparition. While holding her breathe she closed her eyes and when she thought she bump right into him, she felt only air. She let her breath escape her and turned back to Lilith with blood red eyes. She narrowed her eyes in her I-can't-believe-you-just-did-that/You've-really-pissed-me-off glare. She flexed her neck a little, pushing away her bloodlust for now and letting her eyes return to their usual icy cold blue. "That seriously the best you got? Apparitions? I was getting the impression you'd have something a little more difficult for me." she growled, her voice deep with a mist-like essence to it. As if her voice was smoke rather than sound.

Lili had to admit she was rather impressed. Ava was far stronger willed then most. This of course though made everything change. Normally she got thrills from fear but with out any everything was a waste. And Ava held no fear now, which was not good. Blinking a few times she looked up at her and kept silent. The cold ice blue eyes seemed to pierce into her soul. It was a strange feeling.

She could not even think of a response, She never had seen any one lose their fear so quickly and turn it into motive and hate. Which actually caused Lili to be the one rather concerned now. Backing away a little she felt her back hit the wall and she froze in place. Still staring nervously up towards the really pissed off vampire.

"Um... Uh.." She could not even think of what to say now at this point. And she knew in this state she was about as powerful as a piece of paper. Yes she was powerful but when their was nothing feeding her power it was gone. And since this place was empty right now She was in a rather troubled state. And all she could do was stand their frozen.

Ava's eyes twinkled slightly and a smile of accomplishment flickered onto her face. She took a few steps towards the little girl and looked at her blade, as if she were pondering what to do now. She wanted to slowly gut the little girl until she was nothing but a bloody pulp of... mush. Much like she had done to her father. Though, it'd be a shame to get rid of something so... powerful. And dark. Perhaps, maybe even just a little, she might be able to work for her cause.

So, she placed the silver dagger back in her belt and gestured towards the room she had exited before. "If you're done fighting, it's much more comfortable in my office. Or-I could kill you. Either or." she said darkly with her smile and twinkle in her eye-though her eyes were still narrowed in distrust at the little girl whom seemed to drink fear. Ava had long practice to stifle fear with hate, and it wasn't hard to do anymore. She just had too much hate for it to be difficult.

What could she do? She was like a human trapped now. All she could do was look and watch Ava in fear which was something she never had felt before. Even in all the years she had been alive She never met any one who she could not manipulate in some way through fear. What ever happened in this ones past was more hate and anger then anything. When she spoke she gave a simple nod and followed Ava into the other room. She kept silent and tried to not piss of the vampire any more then she already had. She overly did not like the idea of being torn into pieces which was about the only way she could die.

Looking around the room she stopped and waited for what Ava was going to say or do. She guessed that she held some reason to keep her here or she would have killed her already. The issue was though what exactly was her plan? That was the thing that was going to be hard to figure out. It could be somethin good or something bad. Either way she could not just walk away now.

"What do you want from me Ava? I know it has to be something or you would have just killed me. What ever it is Im rather sure I dont have a choice but to do it."

Lili's voice was cold and dark though showed no sign of trying to envoke Ava any further. She knew that this was not going to work out well if she constently tried to piss her off and in truth she rather enjoyed the idea of staying alive for a few more years well decades at the least. And if it ment being nice and obeying a vampire well she had to then.

Ava smiled, as if someone had wished her happy birthday, "Oh, my. You're smarter than you look. Though I'm curious to think why you think I want anything from you-considering you are the one that showed up here tonight." she said sweetly, grabbing her walkie talkie and pressing the button, "Situation neutralized, backup is no longer required." she licked her lips slightly and placed the walkie talkie back on her desk. She walked towards her seat and sat down as she had before, sideways so that her legs hung off one arm and her back was against the other arm. She crossed her legs and gestured to a seat on the other side of the room behind the door for her to sit in.

Then she spoke, "Let's see, you can teleport, rip vampires apart, create apparitions and you feed off the fear of others am I missing anything?" she said in one fluid sentence. Turning her head straight to the little girl with curiosity.

Lili blinked a few times. Ava's question was a bit different then she had expected to hear. After all it was not very often any one had the chance to in a sense control one of her kind. Though once some one figured them out she guessed it was actually simple. It was funny really she came to this place out of curiousity and now she was actually unable to just simply leave under her own free will. This was turning out to be a rather strange time.

Walking to the seat she sat down as Ava had gestured and continued to stay silent until she was spoke to again. The question brought a smirk to her face. So Ava had some clue of what she could do. But still was clueless to the extent of her actual power. This in a way though was good though she was not going to lie and saw no harm in telling her the rest. After all As long as Ava could keep her weakness a secret then she would be the only person here able to utilize those unique abilities.

"Well almost.. you forgot a few things actually.. I dont create appiritions for one. I just use peoples fear against them. Which you know why. But fear is not what I fead on actually Its just like a boost in a way. The more fear the more power. Now what I feed on is souls... Which is why my kind is known as reapers And is why im immortal and well over a thousand years old by now.. Wow I am getting old.. Any way... We also have above average strength and can phase through things. The rest though im sorry to say is a secret. "

The reason it was a secret though was because the other gifts came with time and age, and where extremely unique. Though where normally never used. One like Liliths having the ability to cause pain through her illusions where normally rare. But she kept that a secret since she was not overly sure on how it worked. Looking at ave she pulled her legs to her chest and rested her head on her knee's she knew for a fact the only reason she was not in peices was because Ava had some strange plan to use her. Which was what made her so curious. She rather enjoyed the idea of doing things for people long as they where interesting enough of course.

Ava listened intently, she was very smug about her powers. Very well, it was all the same to her-though she did sound very powerful. She nodded with a thin smile and crossed her arms over her chest. So, to use her powers, she needed to be feared? And souls to live? Perfect. She had found her leverage. "So-you can't attack me unless I fear you? Or someone near does? Splendid." she purred, pressing her lips together as she looked to the ceiling in thought of the perfect words to say. Didn't want to screw this up, did she? Not an opportunity like this.

When she had the right words she took a breath and paused, looking back to the frightened little century old girl named Lilith. "Let me ask you, Lili. How would you like it if you could have as much fear as you could possibly need and more souls than you could ever consume, nightly? And still be able to walk out of here... alive?" her tone smooth and inviting, as if she was asking her to join a club at school rather than her flesh-eating, blood-thirsty gang of supernaturals.

Lili had nothing to hide,It was not like to many people in this camp had even the slightest ability to harm her, and most where seen as nothing more then a meal in her eyes.So why would she not be overly snug about what she could do. Though the smirk it put on Ava's face was proof enough to answer her question of her wanting something. But one thing was off, She still thought even though no fear was around in the small room that Lili was harmless. That was a mistake.

"Oh no I can still harm you.. well maybe not you but weaker people yes. Im still far beyond humans strength just not as strong as you with out it. "

She wanted to make it all clear. If she was going to be working for some one.. best way to put it. She wanted them to understand all they could. What truly caught her attention was the last question asked. All the food she wanted? how could she turn that away? Well she could normally so that any way. But the circumstances right now where a bit against her. So she tilted her head slightly and gave a cruel and rather sadistic smirk.

"That sounds good.. So I am guessing you want me to oh lets put it in fun terms.. take some trash out for you? I do want you to understand one thing. If I do this their will be hmm how to put it.. carnage? naa more like death every where.. But because I enjoy life... ill make a pact with you. Ill do what ever you wish as long as you give me one little thing.. I want war not a few little fights but this whole place to be a battle feild."

One might ask what any one could gain from war. But in a place with a few hundred maybe even thousand supernaturals in it the answer was power. And as far as she knew she was the only one of her kind here. Which meant every ounce of fear and every single soul was hers. As she had been speaking and finished her eyes went from a normal shade of black/grey to a pure blood red. Just the thought of such a thing made her smile.
