So hi, I'm Yules, one of the global moderators. I've been rping for about six years. I'm 17, about to be a senior in highschool, live in Portland, Oregon, and have worn a cloak to school everyday since 3rd grade. I love animals more than anything in the world, especially horses, and want to be an animal psychologist but I would also love to write. I am a complete nerd and find joy in things such as the vlogbrothers and Firefly and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Speaking of MLP, pretty much all my friends are guys, and they're all bronies. Oh, and I love Taylor Swift, with a burning passion. I'm a little bit bi for her.

I'm the admin, but I'm super friendly-so if you're bored you can pm me just to say hello or whatever. I'd like to say I'm fairly easy to get along with, so as long as you follow the rules I'm sure we'll be the best of friends. I ask that you not ask about my age, however. I'm not an overly secretive person-but that's the one place I draw the line. I'm from Canada, so my time is different from many people around here. I've been roleplaying for the good parts of four or five years and have been admining for over three years.

I love roleplaying, reading and writing as well as singing. I take professional vocal lessons and one day, I'd like to sing part-time in a restaurant or on a cruise ship in my summers. Most likely when I'm in university. My favorite artists are Adam Young/Owl City, Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Barenaked Ladies and Taylor Swift but I also tend to like The Fray, P!nk and Adele. For some reason I've also been obsessing over Kelly Clarkson (out of tat phase ^_^). Typically, I don't choose my favourite music by artist, but mostly by song-so I'm not going to say I know all the songs of these artists. I also tend to prefer older songs (older that at least a year).

Three interesting things about me would have to be. 1) I know basic Latin, 2) I have a severe phobia of bees and vacuum cleaners and 3) I can play the Tuba, the piano and the trombone.

My four characters are Ava Lynch, Heather Orchid, Stella Stark and Jessica Blake

Hello my wonderful friends! I'm Starflower, but you can just call me Star. I am a global moderator here at Sangvene and am willing to help you with any problems you might have on the forum.

So about me, then. I am a high school student, currently taking college courses over the summer, and I have a passion for the creative arts. Participating in choir, art class, writing club, and drama at my school I have to say my schedule is full but worth every minute of my time. I have been roleplaying for about eight years now, beginning with a Warriors based roleplay on Neopets. My writing experience goes all the way back to when I first started telling fictional stories to my friends at day care.

For the nerdy fan me? I'm a fiction addict. I love books, movies, TV shows, and comics. Currently watching/reading Naruto, Fairy Tail, Akagami no Shirayukihime, 1/2 Prince, The Kingkiller Chronicles, Everblue, Fey Winds, and a fair amount of well-written fanfic for a variety of fandoms. When it comes to music my favorite artists are Michael Card, Imogen Heap, Mutemath, Yoko Kanno, Globus, Vienna Teng, and Regina Spektor. As you are probably figuring out by now, I'm very very bad at choosing favorites. I love webcomics and my favorite artists are Sarah Ellerton, Lora Innes, Tracy J. Butler, Michael Sexton, and Nicole Chartrand.

In roleplays, novels, and over all any kind of written fiction, there are a few things I really like and a few things I don't.

Star's YES List:

- Original characters. This refers to characters who didn't come out of a box and aren't stolen from over stories.
- Consistent characters. This refers to characters whose actions match up with their personality or, if they don't, have a reason for their actions not matching their personality.
- Rational, respectable, relatable characters. This refers to characters who are level-headed and whose decisions make sense. A character you can relate to as well as look up to.
- More men than women. Even though I'm a girl, I prefer stories where the majority of the cast is made up of men.
- Unresolved sexual tension. Again, a weird one, but note the first part. I don't like smut. In fact, I hate smut, but when two characters are really attracted to one another and actually exercise self-control, it gives for good story telling and makes me respect the characters a lot more.

Star's NO List:

- Excessive profanity. Really? Why? I don't want to read it. You don't have to write it.
- Sexual non-marital relationships. Again. Why? Are the characters incapable of caring about each other and loving one another without taking that extra step?
- Switching between first a third person, or past and present tense. Just no.
- Using the words "orbs" and "pools" instead of "eyes". Or "digits" instead of "fingers."
- Five paragraph post for a character to blink and say "No."
- Rebellious children shown in a positive light when their parents are good people.
- Mary Sues and Marty Stews. Again. Just no. If you're ever worried about your character being a Sue and Stew, run him/her through this: The Universal Mary Due Litmus Test

Sorry for just bumping on the scene... I like to apologize to some of the older players out there... really...

As I met this game by fate...
I just created my own RP site (very recently...) then advertise there and there, I gone through different sites...
I read Goldy's advertisement on an advertising site where I just post my ads too...
She was looking for some staffs and some help to run on her forum.
Then, I emailed her... But my intention is to asked her if we can merged forces as I lacked staffs too... and as she was saying on her ad that dated almost months ago that it wasn't created yet. Everything was a coincidence...

And now I'm here ...
Okay so much for that.

I'm a college student ... I'm taking on a tourism related course... As for my RP experience, I'm originally playing MMORPG online video games like Warcraft and such... And gone to trying play by post games less than 2 years ago... Years ago, I started writing fictional stories... a novel called The signs and the symbol though I'm not a writer... and got only ideas and was only average in English... Compared to my classmates, I'm brilliant but comparing to other school's abroad I'm not... I'm an Asian ... ...and know three different languages... I don't want to mention any specific countries... As I don't label myself... I'm a hybrid, sum of different cultures and very unique since I'm acting very differently compare to others (like an abnormal,lol)... I got high values and principles, very stubborn, that I only listen and stand on my beliefs...
RP experience: Harry Potter, Superheroes, Original fantasy: Aelyria & Mizahar...

It's very very rare as in rareee... to see someone in our country playing play by post games... There are more on to graphic games and sports... Going back to the novel, I did made it longgg and saved different copies in my laptop and email, but It's a long time since then my last edit/input... I got lazy and stop...

In terms of food, I eat anything... from salads, burgers, sushi, fries, breads, pasta, rice... any cuisine... There are only few foods/dishes that I don't like.
